Brandon Pfaadt Confirmed To Start Game 3
1 year agoArizona Diamondbacks rookie right-hander Brandon Pfaadt has been confirmed as the team's starter for Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday in Arizona against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Pfaadt will take the hill as the D-backs looked for the sweep of their division rivals in the best-of-five series. The 24-year-old Pfaadt has plenty of strikeout upside when he's on, but he has also proven to be volatile in his first big-league season. The former fifth-rounder allowed three earned runs in just 2 2/3 innings in his playoff debut in Game 1 of the wild-card series against the Brewers, and the Dodgers had his number in his two starts against them in the regular season, putting up 10 runs (nine earned) in 8 2/3 innings to beat Pfaadt twice.
