Alex Bowman does get a fortunate tenth place start on Sunday at Watkins Glen. However, that is where the fortune for the No. 48 may end. He could hover around the top ten but the average finish has been only 14th in his last two races on the track. The Hendrick Motorsports Racing driver struggled late in these races as he faded out of the top ten both times. Bowman slipped right out of the top 20 at Wisconsin after he started in the tenth and the concern is he might here as well. It is a road course that may not be quite so good for him.
