NFL DFS Value Plays: Week 10 Bargain Bin for DraftKings, FanDuel, Yahoo Includes Aaron Rodgers, D'Andre Swift, Brian Thomas Jr., more

Aaron Rodgers - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Juan's top NFL DFS sleepers and DFS value plays for Week 10 of 2024. These DFS bargains are cheap on FanDuel, DraftKings, Yahoo daily fantasy football contests.

Welcome to the Week 10 main slate edition of RotoBaller's NFL DFS Bargain Bin for the 2024 NFL season, where the goal is to touch on some potentially mispriced players across the industry who find themselves in favorable matchups and/or suddenly expanded roles.

Each week, I’ll give you my thoughts on where there may be some value spots to exploit. On this 10th main slate of the 2024 campaign, I'm glad to report that value-salary players are abundant on Yahoo, FanDuel, and DraftKings.

In addition to offering multiple candidates at each position, I'll list at least one more player to consider, along with some site-specific value plays when applicable.

NFL DFS Bargain Bin Intro

Before we go NFL DFS Bargain Bin hunting, here are a few particulars about format and content.

The nature of the beast with value plays is at least a modest amount (and sometimes substantially more) of risk. Therefore, the Bargain Bin may be a bit more of a roller-coaster ride on some slates than your typical “tout” article!

Naturally, that doesn’t mean there isn’t an upside to be had. All of these selections are, therefore, suitable for GPPs and can also often serve as solid cash-game plays while often helping you accommodate multiple higher-priced studs into your lineup.

Typically, I’ll suggest players who are value-priced across three major DFS sites (DraftKings, FanDuel, and Yahoo). However, there are certainly occasions where one or more sites price a player significantly lower than others. Whenever possible, I’ll typically at least note those players as an “XYZ site special.”

This article is by no means intended to serve as an exhaustive list of all value options for the week. Rather, it’s meant to take a deeper dive into those I feel offer some of the best combinations of savings and upside.

The goal is to recommend truly affordable players, as opposed to say a player priced just $300-$400 away from the highest-priced option at his position. I don’t have set-in-stone price limits in mind for each site, but I do consider legitimate affordability a very important criterion.

Quarterback DFS Value Plays

Sam Darnold, MIN at JAX | DK: $6,200, FD: $7,800, Yahoo: $26

Darnold certainly had some rough moments against the Colts last Sunday night, but he offset two interceptions with three touchdown passes, his sixth game this season with multiple scoring tosses.

The veteran continues to prove his hot early start was no fluke, and he's now completing a career-high 69.5 percent of his passes. The matchup against the Jaguars defense could certainly facilitate more of the same, considering Jacksonville's season-long struggles defending teams through the air that have included allowing a co-league-high 19 touchdown passes.

Aaron Rodgers, NYJ at ARI | DK: $5,700, FD: $7,100, Yahoo: $26

Rodgers and the Jets finally showed some much-needed signs of chemistry and life in a Week 9 win over the Texans, with the future Hall of Fame quarterback facilitating big performances for both Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson.

Rodgers now has multiple touchdown passes in four of the last five contests, and he's had extra rest after New York played Houston on Thursday night. Rodgers' matchup against the Cardinals isn't elite on paper, but his salaries and the hint of the upside he's displayed at times, not to mention the likely competitive nature of this game, makes him appealing.

Running Back DFS Value Plays

D'Andre Swift, CHI vs. NE | DK: $6,500, FD: $7,700, Yahoo: $31

Swift is attached to an erratic Bears offense, but the veteran running back has been one consistent producer for multiple weeks now, win or lose. Swift posted between 73 and 129 rushing yards between Weeks 4 and 8, and although he was down to 51 in the Week 9 loss to the Cardinals, he helped offset the downturn with six receptions, his second-highest tally of the season.

Swift now gets one of the most inviting matchups in the league for running backs in the Patriots, which has facilitated big games for the position all season.

Najee Harris, PIT at WAS | DK: $6,200, FD: $7,100, Yahoo: $27

Harris comes into this interconference game red-hot, as he's rattled off three consecutive 100-yard rushing efforts while scoring a pair of touchdowns on the ground along the way. The fourth-year pro is now up to averaging a career-high 4.4 yards per carry following his stellar aforementioned three-game run, and he's recorded multiple catches in five of his last six contests as well.

Harris is averaging 17.0 rush attempts and 2.1 receptions per game for the season, and he'll draw a solid matchup in Week 10 against an improving but still somewhat vulnerable Commanders run defense.

ALSO CONSIDER:

Wide Receiver DFS Value Plays

Brian Thomas Jr., JAX vs. MIN | DK: $6,600, FD: $7,300, Yahoo: $27

Thomas has already put together a stellar rookie half-season, furnishing a 35-595-5 line on 53 targets over nine games. Thomas is once again nursing a lingering chest injury this week, but the LSU product should be ready to suit up again and play through the injury this week.

Christian Kirk (IR, collarbone) is already lost for the season, while Gabe Davis (shoulder) could be sidelined again, brightening Thomas's outlook as he looks to add to his total of four touchdowns in his last six games.

Khalil Shakir, BUF at IND | DK: $6,000, FD: $6,200, Yahoo: $24

Shakir continued to demonstrate an elite level of efficiency in Week 9, bringing in six of seven targets for 50 yards against the Dolphins. Shakir has a 22-222 line on 24 targets in the last three games overall, and he could be thrust into an even bigger role this week.

Amari Cooper (wrist), Keon Coleman (wrist), and even Mack Hollins (shoulder) are all sporting injury designations heading into Friday's practice, and any absences among that group, let alone multiple ones, would set Shakir up nicely against a vulnerable Colts defense.

Jordan Addison, MIN at JAX | DK: $5,300, FD: $6,600, Yahoo: $20

Addison found the end zone for the first time since Week 4 in the Week 9 win over the Colts, recording 16.1 DK/13.6 FD and Yahoo points against Indianapolis.

Addison's five catches in that contest were also a season-high, perhaps a sign the Vikings are focusing more on getting him involved after there have been rumblings of the talented second-year wideout going underused most of the year. Addison now gets a crack at a vulnerable Jaguars defense that has already conceded 10 touchdown grabs to wide receivers.

ALSO CONSIDER:

  • Rome Odunze, CHI vs. NE | DK: $5,200, FD: $5,900, Yahoo: $19

Tight End DFS Value Plays

T.J. Hockenson, MIN at JAX | DK: $4,700, FD: $6,500, Yahoo: $17

Hockenson made his return from his serious December 2023 knee injury in Week 9, logging a solid 32 snaps and posting a 3-27 line on four targets.

The veteran tight end should be ready to handle an even bigger workload in Week 10, and he makes for an intriguing roster partner with Darnold at salaries that aren't going to remain this low for very long. The matchup against the vulnerable Jaguars defense only serves to brighten Hockenson's outlook in a game Minnesota is carrying a 25.5-point projected total for.

Hunter Henry, NE at CHI | DK: $3,900, FD: $5,300, Yahoo: $17

Speaking of upside on the cheap, Henry certainly qualifies at salaries even lower than Hockenson's in the case of both DK and FD. Henry has been playing at a level reminiscent of his Chargers days since Drake Maye took over the starting quarterback job, posting a 20-193 line on 23 targets over those three contests.

The veteran is as reliable a route runner and target as ever, and he could once again be very busy in a Week 10 matchup against a Bears defense that has done a very good job shutting down receivers but has been more generous toward tight ends.

ALSO CONSIDER:

  • Taysom Hill, NO vs. ATL | DK: $4,000, FD: $6,300, Yahoo: $16
