Today’s Best NBA Picks for Player Props
Luka Doncic over 31.5 Points (-128 FanDuel)
Lakers superstar Luka Doncic has been on an insane run in the second half of the season. He's scored at least 32 points in seven straight games, and he's averaged 40.7 points per game in that time. Doncic was suspended for last night's game thanks to picking up his 16th technical foul last week, so he should be fully rested and ready to continue his elite production.
The Lakers played at home last night and easily dispatched the Wizards by 19 points. Cleveland played in Utah last night and then traveled to Los Angeles, so they are at a clear rest disadvantage. With just a 2.5-point spread in this game between contenders, starters should play massive minutes on both sides. That should result in somewhere around 40 minutes for Luka Doncic, which should be plenty to get him to 32 points again.
Darius Garland over 19.5 Points (-105 Bet365)
Garland has been great since coming over to the Clippers in the James Harden trade, averaging 21.6 points across 13 games. That average climbs to 23.0 points per game if we discard his first two games back from injury, when he was playing off the bench on a minutes restriction. Both his volume and efficiency have improved with his new team, as he's shot 51% from the floor on more than 15 shot attempts per game.

Tonight's matchup against Portland sets Garland up to continue playing at a high level. The Blazers play at the 7th-fastest pace in the league, which makes this game a significant jump in tempo for the Clippers.
