NBA DFS Prop Picks for Wednesday (2/3/21) - Monkey Knife Fight

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

Jake Finnen provides his NBA DFS prop picks for February 3rd, 2021 on Monkey Knife Fight. Make your DFS picks with his fantasy basketball advice.

All these NBA games are really pulling from the real action that are League of Legends props on MonkeyKnifeFight.com. If you can get to these contests before they start, you are lucky to watch some of the top League of Legends teams across Asia face-off in a quadruple header. That analysis can be saved for another day and it would be wise to check out Jason Malmanger's DFS article to help understand some of tomorrow's lines.

With 10 games on Wednesday's NBA slate, they only have eight up so far available for betting. This is for the best seeing how the two missing games are the Clippers playing on the second night of a back-to-back and the other is the second consecutive matchup between the Rockets and Thunder. Houston proved to be the better team, but if the Thunder make more shots than they did last time out, and the Rockets shoot just absolutely terrible, they just might have a chance.

MonkeyKnifeFight.com continues to be ahead of the curve with their canceling of contests amid postponements, so don't worry about wasting money on a player or game that might not play. As always, you can find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter with any questions, especially since lines and players are subject to change throughout the day.

PHI @ CHA

Joel Embiid (PHI) MORE 25.5 Points - Gordon Hayward (CHA) MORE 22.5 Points

If Joel Embiid plays, he scores close to 30. This is the Hornets frontcourt and they haven't been able to stop quality centers in years. The opportunities will be there. For Gordon Hayward, he'll be relieved to not have to face Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo in the paint, but it still won't be easy unless he is aggressively searching for points.

That being said, after coming of a mediocre game against a opponent that got the best of him defensively, do expect a bit of a rebound game, which usually floats right around 22-23 points.

IND @ MIL

Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) MORE 27.5 Points - Malcolm Brogdon (IND) MORE 21.5

There is no defense to really stop Giannis Antetokounmpo when he gets going and the Pacers played Tuesday night versus Memphis. The game wasn't terribly close so the starters won't be fatigued, but assuming the Bucks will give them trouble on defense throughout the night and that second game in two days will be more evident than not.

Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis have established themselves as every night players and even against a tough defense, expect one of the only consistent guards in the Pacers backcourt to produce 22 points.

DAL @ ATL

Luka Doncic (DAL) MORE 28.5 Points - Trae Young (ATL) MORE 27.5

The Atlanta defense hasn't really let up since the start of the season and despite letting up a ton of points to point guards, they have no problem forcing players to hit shots. While Luka Doncic is destined to produce, it's hard to see his teammates posting positive performances in unfavorable matchups, forcing Doncic to shoot even more, just like we want.

While the Hawks defense will have their hands full simply dealing with Doncic, there are few players that thrive on the momentum of their opponent more than Trae Young. If you shoot, he shoots. You make a three. He makes a three. If there is a point where he isn't hitting, you wouldn't be able to tell because he'd still be pulling the trigger. Even if he does post double-digit assists versus this defense, there are going to be too many open shots on the perimeter.

WAS @ MIA

Bradley Beal (WAS) LESS 36.5 Points - Jimmy Butler (MIA) MORE 22.5

Even during a season where a player is posting career-high shot attempts, 37 points isn't easy. This defense isn't a joke and without Jimmy Butler, you'd think 40 points was more than reachable. Bradley Beal is on the second night a back-to-back that came down to the last few minutes. If he can have another solid night, awesome, it's hard to cheer against him. Sadly, science and physics aren't working in his favor.

As for Jimmy Butler, it's tough to see his point total rise and especially seeing how passive he has been on offense this season. He's been hanging out closer to the rim, retaining a more supportive role in the offense rather than dominating the scoring. With a 23-point threshold, it's hard to be sold on someone who seemingly passes up scoring opportunities like he was being forced to.

NYK @ CHI

Zach LaVine (CHI) MORE 24.5 Points - Julius Randle (NYK) MORE 22.5

There hasn't been a lapse in consistency for Zach LaVine, but he isn't posting the same high-scoring stats now that his teammates have been deserving of more touches. The Knicks defense is one of the best in the league and the more they can force usage into the hands of players like Coby White and LaVine, the more points will be scored from specifically those two. The more Bulls players not named Zach or Coby that are struggling, the better.

Julius Randle has been simmering down as well since the start of the season, but the demand for production from his position hasn't relented whatsoever. He is still getting plenty of touches and the more bench players like Immanuel Quickley that can provide support, the more spacing Randle will have for himself. He needs proper coaching to get the right lineups that better suit someone who likes to do their work in the post.
