NASCAR Xfinity Series: DraftKings DFS Lineup Picks for Sunoco Go Rewards 200 at the Glen (8/20/22)

The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Watkins Glen on Saturday for the Sunoco Go Rewards 200 at the Glen. While the Truck Series playoffs are ongoing and the Cup Series has just two races left before the playoffs, Xfinity still has a ways to go, as there are five more races before the postseason begins.

Two weeks ago at Michigan, Ty Gibbs drove to victory lane, leading 54 laps and beating out Justin Allgaier and Noah Gragson. With A.J. Allmendinger finishing seventh, the points lead shrunk just a bit, with Allgaier 19 points back in second and Gibbs 28 back in third.

Here at RotoBaller, we want to help you make informed decisions about your DFS lineups, which is why I'll be breaking down the slates for the Xfinity Series. Let's look at some NASCAR Xfinity DFS lineup picks for the Sunoco Go Rewards 200 at the Glen on DraftKings. Be sure to also check out our NASCAR Premium Tools for Xfinity Series including our DFS Lineup Optimizer and powerful Research Station. This slate locks on 8/20/22 at 3:17 p.m. ET.

Ty Gibbs ($10,200) - Starting 2nd

Gibbs qualified second on Saturday, so a front row start will give him a chance to get out front early, assuming he's able to get past William Byron.

While a couple of DNFs this year have kept Gibbs from leading the points, he's been the dominant driver in the series when it comes to finding his way to victory lane, with five wins already. He's now won nine times in his first two seasons in Xfinity.

Included in that is a win here last year, with Gibbs leading 43 of the 82 laps to claim the victory. Overall, he's won three times on road courses in Xfinity, with an average finish of 10.9 on road courses, with six top 10s in 10 starts.

William Byron ($10,100) - Starting 1st

While it's tempting to pay a little more for Byron's Hendrick teammate Kyle Larson who starts third, I imagine Larson's name recognition is going to lead to him being over played on Saturday, so I'm taking Byron instead.

Byron is on the pole for this race and should have a good shot to lead some early laps, depending on how things go on the front row with him and Ty Gibbs.

This is the third start for Byron this season in Xfinity, with him leading laps both times. At Texas, he finished second, but at Loudon, an electrical issue led to him finishing 26th.

Byron has made three Cup Series starts at the Glen, with a pair of top 10s. He should be in contention for the Xfinity win on Saturday.

Ross Chastain ($9,900) - Starting 15th

Nice little bit of place differential upside here for Ross Chastain, who rolls off 15th in the 92 car.

Chastain is making his third Xfinity start of the season in this car. At COTA, he qualified second and led 14 laps, but finished 17th. At Indianapolis, he qualified 18th and finished fourth.

In the Cup Series, Chastain has been proving he's one of NASCAR's best road course racers, and dropping down to Xfinity like this gives him a chance to show that he can contend even when he isn't in a top car like he is in Cup. I expect Chastain to fight for a top five.

Myatt Snider ($7,300) - Starting 29th

While I don't think of Myatt Snider as being a particularly good road course driver, he's actually been pretty solid on them during his Xfinity career.

In fact, his average finish of 17.5 at road courses is higher than his average finish at any other track type.

Snider has made one start here at Watkins Glen, finishing 15th last year. This season, he finished sixth at COTA and second at Portland before two sub-30th finishes at the last two road courses.

If Snider can keep the car clean, he could gain a ton of places on Saturday.

Jeb Burton ($6,200) - Starting 27th

Like Snider, I don't think of Jeb Burton as a good road course driver. Unlike Snider, that way of thinking is right with Burton, as his average finish at road courses of 19.6 is worse than at any other track type.

Still, with Burton starting 27th, finishing around his average road course finish would be a solid day.

This season, Burton's really struggled at road courses though, with a best finish of 21st at Road America.

Still, I think his salary here makes him a solid value option here, even if the results have been lackluster this season. But if you're worried, you could always target someone like Ryan Sieg instead.

Preston Pardus ($6,100) - Starting 31st

Pardus has been running Xfinity road courses for a few years now and continues to put up solid results despite being in an underfunded car.

This season, Pardus has made three starts, with an average finish of 18.0, including a best finish of 11th at Road America.

Pardus should be able to gain you a lot of place differential points on Saturday.
