DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

George Kirby at MIN ($9,000 DraftKings; $9,500 FanDuel)

Kirby had two disastrous outings early in which he allowed a combined 13 runs over 7.2 innings. Since then, he has given up three runs and recorded 28 strikeouts over 24 innings. There aren’t many top-tier pitching options for this limited slate, so despite a less-than-ideal matchup versus the Twins, Kirby is worth considering.

Jordan Montgomery at CIN ($7,700 DraftKings; $8,400 FanDuel)

The Dodgers tagged Montgomery for six runs over three innings in his last outing. However, don’t read too much into his poor stat line. Not only do the Dodgers have one of the best lineups in baseball, but there were also the odd circumstances of his start being pushed back a day because of a bee delay. This is a great spot for him to get back on track, considering that the Reds only have a .636 OPS versus left-handed pitchers.

Jordan Hicks at COL ($6,800 DraftKings; $8,300 FanDuel)

It rarely feels good to recommend starting a pitcher at Coors Field. However, the Rockies’ lineup has not been good this season. That has included their mediocre .687 OPS at home. Another issue for them is that they have struck out the third-most times in baseball. Hicks, who has a 1.89 ERA and 3.25 FIP through seven starts, could still provide value.

Also consider: Aaron Civale vs. CWS, Kyle Bradish at WAS

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Isaac Paredes – 1B/3B, CWS vs. Chris Flexen ($4,700 DK; $3,300 FD)

Paredes had a big night at the plate Tuesday, hitting 3-for-4 with a home run. After posting a .238 ISO last year, he has a .220 ISO this season. His power could be an issue for Flexen, who has allowed 30 home runs over 132 innings since the beginning of last season.

Thairo Estrada – 2B, SF vs. Peter Lambert ($4,100 DK; $3,200 FD)

The Giants don’t have a very imposing lineup, but facing Lambert at Coors Field is about as appealing as it gets. He has a 5.66 ERA and a 4.26 FIP this year, to go along with a bloated 1.50 WHIP. For his career, he has a 5.52 FIP and a 1.58 WHIP. His lack of swing-and-miss stuff could be a problem versus Estrada, who is a good contact hitter with his career 20.3 percent strikeout rate. He has also batted at least .260 in each of the last three seasons.

LaMonte Wade Jr. – 1B/OF, SF vs. Peter Lambert ($4,000 DK; $3,100 FD)

Staying with the Giants taking on Lambert at Coors Field, Wade is another excellent option to consider. Although he only has one home run this season, he is batting .351 and has used a 20.8 percent walk rate to generate a .419 wOBA. While his .500 BABIP won’t hold up over the long run, don’t expect Lambert to be the pitcher to end Wade’s current heater.

Also consider: Anthony Volpe, Anthony Rizzo, Matt Chapman

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Juan Soto – OF, NYY vs. Spencer Arrighetti ($6,300 DK; $4,200 FD)

The Yankees have been an inconsistent hitting team, but not Soto. He has been stellar during his first season in the Bronx, posting a .236 ISO and a .432 wOBA. He has drawn more walks (26) than he has strikeouts (23). The sky is the limit for him against Arrighetti, who has a 1.96 WHIP across his first four starts.

Jung Hoo Lee - OF, SF vs. Peter Lambert ($3,700 DK; $3,200 FD)

Lee got off to a slow start this season and hasn’t provided much power. The good news is that he has been making contact, posting just an 8.5 percent strikeout rate. His 41.9 percent hard-hit rate also isn’t terrible. With the way Lambert pitches to contact, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Lee find his way on base a time or two in this matchup.

Alex Verdugo – OF, NYY vs. Spencer Arrighetti ($3,700 DK; $3,000 FD)

Verdugo produced one of his best stat lines of the season Tuesday, going 3-for-5 with a home run and four RBI versus the Astros. After hitting 13 home runs over 142 games last year, he has already gone deep five times this season. He has shown a stellar eye at the plate, posting a 9.9 percent strikeout rate and a 12.1 percent walk rate. Given his cheap salaries on both sites, he could be key to any Yankees stack.

Also consider: Aaron Judge, Randy Arozarena, Michael Conforto
