MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (10/2/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Joe Musgrove - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top MLB DFS daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on October 2, 2024. Mike Barner's MLB DFS sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The MLB playoffs continue Wednesday with four more Wild Card games. While we don’t have a ton of options to choose from, there is still money to be won in DFS, so let’s dig into the matchups.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/2/2024, with the slate starting at 2:32 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Joe Musgrove vs. ATL ($8,000 DraftKings; $10,500 FanDuel)

Musgrove didn’t skip a beat after being activated from the injured list, posting a 2.15 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP over his final nine starts. In six of those outings, he allowed one or no runs. It has been a brutal stretch for the Braves, who are playing their fourth game over the last three days. Look for Musgrove to exploit that and continue his recent run of success.

Seth Lugo at BAL ($8,500 DraftKings; $9,400 FanDuel)

Lugo made a career-high 33 starts this season, recording a 3.00 ERA and a 3.25 FIP. On the road, he produced a 3.03 FIP and a 1.03 WHIP. Although he doesn’t miss a ton of bats, he does a good job of limiting damage, allowing just 0.7 HR/9 this year. The Orioles were shut out in Game 1 and could have more problems scoring Wednesday.

Also consider: Max Fried at SD

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Francisco Lindor – SS, NYM vs. Frankie Montas ($5,700 DK; $4,200 FD)

Montas was able to stay healthy and start 30 games this year, but he didn’t exactly pitch well. He finished with a 4.84 ERA and a 4.71 FIP to go along with his 1.37 WHIP. He lacked control, registering a 10.1% walk rate. The Mets should be a popular team to stack, with Lindor being a top option to include in one. He had an excellent regular season with his .227 ISO and .363 wOBA.

Rhys Hoskins – 1B, MIL vs. Sean Manaea ($4,000 DK; $3,000 FD)

Hoskins provided power for the Brewers lineup, slugging 26 home runs this season. For his career, he has a .266 ISO and a .382 wOBA against left-handed pitchers. Considering his reasonable salary on both sites, his power upside makes him worth the risk with the lefty Manaea starting for the Mets.

Also consider: Bobby Witt Jr., Yainer Diaz

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Tucker – OF, HOU vs. Tyler Holton ($5,800 DK; $4,000 FD)

The Tigers will turn to Holton to open Game 2. Reese Olson, who recently missed over a month with a shoulder injury, is expected to follow him and pitch multiple innings. He appeared in three games since making his return, topping out at 72 pitches in his last outing. He gave up seven runs over 9.1 innings during that span. This is a great spot for Tucker, who posted a .993 OPS this season.

Jesse Winker – OF, NYM vs. Frankie Montas ($3,700 DK; $2,600 FD)

Winker should be in the starting lineup with the righty Montas on the mound for the Brewers. Left-handed pitchers limited Winker to a .101 ISO and a .304 wOBA this year, but he recorded a .164 ISO and a .347 wOBA against righties. He hit a triple and had two RBI in Game 1 and could once again provide value.

Also consider: Riley Greene, Brandon Nimmo
