ANALYSIS: Say hi to the new Matisse Thybulle! What a turn of events, and what lucky advice you got a few weeks ago when I told you to grab some shares of this man right when he got traded to the PDX.
It's been seven games for Thybs in his new home of Portland and he's started all seven matchups to date between Feb. 13 and Mar. 3. The outcomes have been staggering, to say the least, with the wing getting a very healthy 31 MPG and averaging a smooth 9-4-2-2-1 per-game line these days.
Thybulle is not going to do a lot of anything but he will always get numbers everywhere and fill the stat line all across the board. His shooting comes down to spotting up and waiting for the best possible chance – thus the fantastic 50 FG% with nearly 2.3 3 PM per game. Yes, Thybulle is scoring 3 FGM per game and more than 75 percent of those shots are finding paydirt while getting launched from beyond the arc.
The steals have always been one of Thyb's calling cards and he's now added shot-swatting chops to his arsenal with 11 total blocks since arriving in the PDX for an average of 1.6 BPG in his seven games there.
Until coach Chauncey Billups decides to change the rotation in desperation if Portland sinks, and probably even then as Thybulle's numbers won't change that much no matter what, please grab some shares of this man.
