Hey guys - Matt's gonna start answering questions in a little bit. Keep em coming in and he'll get to everything in due time.

In a 2 keeper league. Goldschmidt worth stashing on the DL as a keeper?

Depending on who else you have, Goldy is certainly worth keeping on the DL for the rest of this season in a keeper . he's a top 5 pick, and has done nothing but prove himself worthy of that this season.

Puig,Pence,or Cesepades?

in a keeper league, i'd rank them in the order you have them puig, pence, cespedes

Thanks! Any other potential DL steals to use as a keeper? Harvey, Fernandez?

if you can get either of them at the right price @adrian they would both be an option as a keeper, but you may have a sure keeper on your team already instead of taking the risk in a pitcher coming off an injury

take Puig over Pence with pence hitting this good lately?

are you asking for today? this week? this/next season?

@long^

ROS n keeper

order you have them then

17:06 Medichi34

i get to keep 10 players next year, who would u keep $250 salary for 25 roster spots- mesoraco $3, byrd $5, rollins $9, moss $10, markakis $10, dunn $6, tyson ross $1, sonny gray $13, darvish $28, street $7, perkins $8, pollock $3, cruz $15, edwin $17, billy hamilton $7, frazier $4, cuddyer $6, starling castro $18 and stubbs $7

do you have to keep 10?

17:06 Medichi34

yes

17:06 Medichi34

well no minimum 6

meso, billy ham, frazier (swear i'm not a reds fan

) sonny gray, t ross, cruz, and then depending on who you're targeting in next draft and how much they cost.. darvish, perkins, castro, edwin
17:08 Medichi34

but give me ur best 10 just in case, with ur best 6 in front so i know just in case

so I did trade I sent Cargo n received Puig

instead of acquiring Pence

gonzalez or gomez?

valbuena and drop bogaerts?

non keeper

in a non-keeper - sure

gonzalez

k then you got a steal @long

so good move getting Puig over Pence?

fairly even IMO - depends on team need

valbuena keep up the power just play the hot streak?

valbuena had 2 more home runs in 20 more AB's last season, the power is something he's always had but whether he can keep it going for an extended period of time is the question.

dont rly think he's shown any reason to believe he can, but he's worth riding the hot streak for sure IMO

17:16 Medichi34

aroldis who would u rather have ROS, markakis or a struggling khris davis?

I'd rather go w/ Markakis with the brewers addition of Parra to the outfield and K davis's recent struggles

17:17 Medichi34

ok, thought so

17:17 Medichi34

thanks

keep the questions comin guys

is chase headley worth picking up? I got roster spot n hes on ww

certainly worth a look depending on your team need and who else is avail for the position your looking for

17:19 rodeothor

I need SB's from a waiver wire player 12 team mix roto

can you give me some examples of guys w/ steals recently available in ur league?

17:20 Medichi34

ROS line for baez?

.240/.275/.400 slash line 4 HR, 17RBI or so

17:22 rodeothor

young

eric young jr?

17:24 rodeothor

yes

lorenzo cain, anthony gose, sam fuld

17:25 rodeothor

all available

personally i'd go fuld

17:26 rodeothor

betts

plus Fuld is in the leadoff spot and will get runs in that Oak off

betts is another decent option all depends on team need rodeo

Thoughts on trumbo.....Spliff?

it's easy for me to say when i dont own trumbo @lee but i think you gotta hold onto him

belt or duda ROS

belt looked to be poised for a breakout year earlier in the season.... but duda has been one of the hottest guys around

i would try to hold onto both unless a shallow league

Duda for this here on out to finish the season. Playing great right now, good for your FF playoff run

thought on pineda return? will he be worth stashing on my tem?

if you have an open DL slot he may be worth a look, but there are other SP's i'd rather have in my DL slot. maybe derek holland is avail?

17:37 Medichi34

rizzo or pujols ROS?

i'd rather rizzo, redraft league?

what about keep springer? hes good but average and ks kill

keep him while he's on DL? yes he's a must start when healthy IMO

or do you mean keep him as a keeper for next season @shirlene?

just this season when he comes of dl

gotta hold onto him IMO

keep the questions comin in guys

even if i dont get to them right away, let them pile up n i'll get to them

17:42 Medichi34

rizzo or pujols, non-keeper

rizzo, are you looking to trade one? or will one ride the bench?

17:43 Medichi34

my friend just got offered pujols or rizzo for verlander

17:43 Medichi34

he has verlander and the kid offered to give up rizzo or pujols

17:44 Medichi34

so i just want him to get the better 1st baseman ROS

is hosmer droppable in all non keeper leagues?

tell him to stop whatever he is doing and go accept that deal immediately

its a steal for him either way, but i'd rather take rizzo personally

17:46 Medichi34

thanks matt

anytime

Chisenhall, M. Adams, or J. Singleton....?

i wouldnt say all non-keepers, but most

he could be a nice pickup for the final couple of weeks though - so if you have an open DL slot i would advise holding onto him

thanks. who's a better DL stash. Pollock or Paga?

Pagan*

for the time being would take singleton there. but would lean towards chisenhall ROS

redraft league lloyd?

Thnx!!

Nope

17:48 Medichi34

should i trade kris bryant $1 for beltran $18, chisenhall $7 and mark appel $1?

Yes this one is actually. Sorry.

pollock was a beast prior to his injury, would rather him in DL slot

spliff you moving over to the football chat after this?

would you have to keep all 3 of them medichi?

more than likely yes - but wont be on 100% like i am now, in/out afk

@shirlene^

17:50 Medichi34

no i can keep whoever i want

17:50 Medichi34

10 players i can keep whoever

george springer comming back tomorrow?

depends on how you feel about your bats v pitching, but i like that deal if you think you'd keep chisenhall for next year

i feel like he's good value at that price

springer is starting a rehab assignment today in high A

shouldnt need more than a couple of games before returning to the lineup i would think

17:52 Slugger

ozuna k.davis or morse ros pick 2 non keeper

springer or matt kemp?

can i choose none? haha out of those i'd go morse/k davis

but there should be better options out there for you ROS i would tihnk

Should I drop JD Martinez for Springer once he returns?

ROS? keeper leauge?

other options to drop lloyd?

ros springer or matt kemp with emphasis on steals

T. Hudson or Chisenhall

ROS prolly kemp, but if your main concern is steals, i'd take springer

kemp will be stronger in AVG, and will have more RBI/runs opportunities in that lineup compared to the astros

completely depends on team need lloyd

i know this isn't a fantasy question

but what is a good length bat similar to the pros

is your team better suited to drop a pitcher or a bat currently

i can't speak to what length is "good" that more depends on feel and preference

33 probably

but the max allowed by the MLB is 42" - would think you should look at a 35-40" bat and see how it feels

okay guys i'm out for now, stay tuned for more chats just like this for baseball/football

18:02 Medichi34

nice thanks bro

it may be me again, or one of our many other trustworthy writers

is everyone dominating their league?

18:29 RotoBaller

hey guys thanks for joining hop this was helpful for ya'll
