LCS/LEC DFS Lineup Picks for 8/12/21 - FanDuel, DraftKings League Of Legends Daily Fantasy

Nolan Roth's League of Leagues (LoL) analysis and LCS/LEC DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings on 8/12/21. He discusses the LCS/LEC LoL slates and his top targets.

Welcome to RotoBaller's coverage of League of Legends DFS for both FanDuel and DraftKings. Be on the lookout for coverage of the LPL, LCK, and LCS as well as we have some great analysts covering all LoL leagues for the playoffs. Today, I am focusing on the 3-game LCS/LEC slate with contests available on FanDuel and DraftKings.

We get a 3 game slate featuring two games from the LCS and one from the LEC. The two losers of the LCS matches are eliminated from the playoffs. This slate has one game on Thursday and two on Friday.

Today I'll be bringing you my top League of Legends advice, analysis, and picks, for the slate beginning on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at 6:00 PM EST. You can check me out on Twitter @nolanroth10 and follow me for more LOL content!

Matchups

  • Immortals (-135) vs. Dignitas
  • Rogue (-385) vs. Misfits
  • Golden Guardians vs. Cloud9 (-600)

Captain

Hans Sama - RGE: Rogue should win this series and I really don't see it being all that close. Misfits bot lane is the weak point of their team and with Rogue's willingness to play through the bottom lane, Hans Sama should find himself in plenty of advantageous situations. During the summer split, Hans had gold and XP differences at 10 minutes of 345 and 364, whereas Kobbe was -135 and -209 respectively.

Insanity– IMT: Dignitas did not look very good in their series last week and mid-laner Yusui is one of the worst mid laners remaining in the playoffs. Insanity was second in kill share during the split and Dignitas tend to die a whole bunch in games they lose.

TOP

Revenge- IMT: There aren't many great choices in the top lane on this slate. Odo and HiRit is a matchup I want to avoid, which just leaves the LCS top laners as options. Revenge had a 67% counter pick rate during the split compared to just 41% for FakeGod. He is also relatively cheap which allows you to spend up at other spots.

Fudge- C9: Cloud9 should have an easy matchup against GG, however, they looked really really bad against TL in the series last week. Fudge had the highest kill share in the league for top laners that played all 27 games. This gives him one of the higher upsides in the top position on this slate.

JUNGLE

Inspired – RGE: Inspired could be the smartest jungler in the league. He always seems to be in the right places at the right times and is definitely a game-changer for Rogue. He led Rogue in kill participation during the split but was 3rd in kill share. Look to stack him with Hans Sama and Larssen in lineups giving you a strong Rogue stack.

Blaber – C9: As much as C9 struggled last week, I don't expect the same result in this one. Blaber had a 72.6% kill participation during the split and is my top choice of C9 players in this one.

MID

Insanity - IMT: Insanity is a great choice here if not playing him in the captain role.

Larssen - RGE: Larssen was first in kill share for Rogue during the split. He gets a tough individual matchup against Vetheo, but as a team overall Rogue is better. Larssen is very consistent in lane and while we may not see too many solo kills he should still be able to rack up points in the later stages of the game.

ADC

Hans Sama - RGE: Hans is the top ADC on this slate, look to fit him in here if not at captain

Raes – IMT: This was a tough choice between Raes and Zven, but the difference in salary is what ultimately made the choice. As mentioned earlier, Dignitas tend to die a bunch in games they lose and I do see IMT winning the series. Raes is capable of putting up monster kill totals and has just as much upside as Zven.

SUPPORT

Trymbi- RGE: Trymbi and Hans Sama are a better bot lane duo than Kobbe and Vander. Misfits also look to play through the top lane more often, whereas Rogue loves to play through the bottom lane. Pairing up Hans Sama and Trymbi looks to be a great choice on this slate.

Destiny– IMT: Destiny had a 75.9% kill participation during the summer split, which is the highest KP% of any player in the league. That makes him a very safe play on this slate and actually comes in at a good value compared to some of the other supports on the slate.

TEAM

Rogue: Rogue went 2-0 against Misfits during the summer split. They also went 2-0 against them in the spring. The way Rogue jumps out t0 early game gold leads is almost unmatched and they should transition that into a relatively easy series win.

Immortals: I do not want to pay the salary for Cloud9 here, so that leaves IMT as the only other choice. This series likely is the closest of the three, but I have Immortals coming out victorious.

Final Thoughts

Playoffs are the best time of the year, as teams are locked in trying to take home the trophy as well as clinch their spot at worlds. I don't see much ownership going to Misfits and almost none going to Golden Guardians so take that into account of looking to be different. I am going with RGE, IMT, C9 in that order.
