Las Vegas-2 NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages

Ross Chastain - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday morning in preparation for the South Point 400 on Sunday.

The field was split into two groups for this practice session.

Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.

Important Practice Notes

Chase Elliott - Chase Elliott wrecked his No. 9 Chevrolet during practice. He said "tire" on the radio before spinning, hitting the wall, and heading to the garage. He won't be able to post a qualifying lap for this race and will start from the rear. At the time, Elliott had the third-best ten-lap average in his practice group.

Daniel Suarez - Like Chase Elliott, Daniel Suarez also had a tire issue during practice. He spun into the inside wall and sustained major damage. He will also have to start from the rear and go to a backup car.

Kyle Larson - There was significant tire wear on Kyle Larson's No. 5 Chevrolet after he made a long run during practice. Larson noticed that the car was off and came on to pit road to get it checked out at the exact same time his teammate, Chase Elliott, had his issue.
