ANALYSIS: Kimani Vidal of the Los Angeles Chargers is a potential sleeper for fantasy. With Gus Edwards sidelined due to injury, the door’s swung open for Vidal to carve out a niche in the Chargers’ backfield.
Now, while veteran J.K. Dobbins has been holding down the fort pretty impressively, his injury history could throw a wrench in those plans, potentially giving Vidal more room to shine as the season progresses.
The Chargers, under the new regime of head coach Jim Harbaugh, have been pounding the rock, making any back in their stable worth a look.
In Week 7, Vidal's impact was minimal, just a few carries and a catch, but remember, he's got those pass-catching skills that could come in handy in PPR leagues. Drafted out of Troy in the sixth round this year, Vidal’s got a skill set that screams "fantasy gold" in the right circumstances.

For now, though, let's keep our cool and stash Vidal on the bench. He’s a great speculative add, especially if you're playing the long game this season. But until we see him getting a consistent workload, it's best to hold off on slotting him into your starting lineup. Keep an eye on how the Chargers deploy their backs over the next few games, and be ready to pounce if Vidal's role expands.
