BALLER MOVE: Add in 16+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 0% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Tests revealed another torn labrum for Dalvin Cook and it appears he will be unavailable for the next few weeks, and even potentially into the fantasy playoffs. Alexander Mattison should be universally rostered by midweek if he isn't already, but who is the backup to the backup? In this case, a fourth-round rookie out of Iowa State, Kene Nwangwu. He has made a splash with a 98-yard kick return touchdown in Week 9 and a 99-yard score in Week 12, though he saw just his second carry of the season following Cook's injury in the third quarter. If you roster Mattison, it makes sense to add Nwangwu as well. He could also make sense as an upside stash in deep leagues as the Vikings prefer to employ a rush-heavy offense and Nwangwu is an extremely explosive runner. His 4.37-second 40-yard dash ranked in the 99th percentile and his overall SPARQ-X score ranked in the 91st percentile among his class, and we've seen what he can do in the return game.
