Josh Jacobs fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Josh Jacobs for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB1
ANALYSIS: Starting Josh Jacobs in Week 1 is a strong move. He is set to be the Packers' primary running back and should see a significant workload against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night. Jacobs has a proven track record of being a workhorse back, capable of handling a high volume of carries and consistently producing solid fantasy points.
With the Packers likely to lean on the run game to control the clock and keep the Eagles' explosive offense off the field, Jacobs could be in line for a heavy dose of touches, both on the ground and in the passing game. Backup running backs AJ Dillon and MarShawn Lloyd will not play in Week 1, juicing up Jacobs' workload even more.
Jordan Love to Josh Jacobs. Could be seeing a lot of that this season. pic.twitter.com/psuU9J4QJJ

Additionally, while strong, the Eagles' defense has shown vulnerability against physical running backs like Jacobs. His ability to break tackles and gain yards after contact makes him a tough matchup for any defense.
Given his expected volume and the potential to exploit the Eagles' run defense, Jacobs has an excellent chance to put up substantial fantasy numbers in Week 1, making him a reliable start for your lineup. He is a strong start in both PPR and Non-PPR formatted leagues.
