Jared Goff fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 7 (2024). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jared Goff for your fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start Goff unless you have an elite QB option
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end QB2
ANALYSIS: Goff has been sizzling the last two weeks, as the Lions have dropped 42 and 49 points on their opponents. Goff has finished as the QB4 in each of those games, but the high-powered Lions' offense has a tough test this week against the 5-0 Minnesota Vikings, who are rested and prepared to come off their Week 5 bye.
The good news for Goff in fantasy is that this game will be played indoors without the impact of weather.
In 14 dome games last year, Jared Goff averaged:
- 19.5 PPG
- 277 yards
- 2.0 TDsIn 6 outdoor games, he averaged:
- 13.6 PPG
- 256 yards
- 1 TD2022, in 11 dome games:
- 19.6 PPG

Goff's metrics are off the charts, leading the league in yards per attempt, holding a solid sixth in passer rating, landing a neat 10th in fantasy points per dropback, and ranking fifth in hero throw rate, but hold onto your hats because he’s rolling into a tough matchup against Minnesota this week.
The Vikings have been like a brick wall against passers, boasting the fifth-lowest yards per attempt allowed, the stingiest passer rating in the league, and a pretty tough 12th-lowest CPOE. Their fierce defense, second in blitz rate and top in applying pressure, is no joke.
