Jake Ferguson's fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 12 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Jake Ferguson for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE1
ANALYSIS: Dallas Cowboys TE Jake Ferguson has been a touchdown machine over the last four weeks, but the three-game scoring streak came to an end in the team’s 33-10 win against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11. The former Wisconsin Badger finished with three catches on five targets for a total of 32 yards.
Ferguson has been a steady fantasy option so far this season, currently ranking as the TE9 in half-PPR formats, averaging roughly 8.2 points per game. No other TE in the league has seen as much red zone usage as Ferguson, who leads the position in red zone targets with 18.
Impressive numbers for a second-year TE to work his way into such a star-studded Cowboys offense and earn the trust of QB Dak Prescott. He’s now set to face an NFC East rival in the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day.
The Commanders currently have the league’s worst scoring defense, allowing 27.7 points per game. They also find themselves with a bottom-three pass defense in the league, allowing 258.5 yards passing per game.
Thursday’s matchup should provide plenty of opportunities for Ferguson and the Dallas passing offense to have a solid day through the air. Ferguson can be played as a TE1 option this week accordingly in hopes that he can restart a fresh touchdown-scoring streak.
