Fantasy Basketball Category Streamers - Week 7

Week 7 fantasy basketball streamers based on H2H 9-category leagues for the 2020-2021 NBA season. Dale Johnson recommends guards, forwards and centers to target through waivers or free agency in fantasy leagues who may help in specific categories.

Week 6 only had the two Memphis games postponed due to health and safety protocols which has been on the lower side lately. Hopefully the league has gotten their protocols together and we are on the tail-end of postponements for now, but we could see some as Tyler Herro's housemate tested positive for COVID-19 and he played the full game against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday. Herro and the team only found out during halftime so it is unclear how the league will handle this situation.

Moving on to Week 7, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday all have six or fewer games again as these are typically the most efficient streaming days during the year. The Utah Jazz play on each one of these days and could be a target to maximize your streaming strategy.

Week 6 Standard 9-Cat Leagues - Category Streamers

Columns are written based on H2H 9-category standard size leagues:

FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE

Robert Williams III - C - Boston Celtics (13% rostered)

Williams is finally back to his normal role of around 15 minutes per game off the bench and that is all he needs to be a consistent fantasy contributor in category leagues. Williams has hit 100 percent of his field goal attempts over the past two games with averages of 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.5 blocks in 15.5 minutes over that stretch. The Celtics play on Tuesday and Sunday along with four total games this week, making him a solid streamer.

Jarred Vanderbilt - SF - Minnesota Timberwolves (25% rostered)

Robin Lopez - C - Washington Wizards (9% rostered)

FREE THROW PERCENTAGE

Immanuel Quickley - PG - New York Knicks (39% rostered)

Quickley keeps making the case to start over Elfrid Payton, coming off back-to-back 25-point games after going for 31 points on the 24th. Quickley is dominating off the trouble and drawing fouls left and right. Quickley is hitting his free throws at a 95.2 percent clip and has a four game week. He is most likely on rosters in your league, but if not, he should be.

POINTS

Dillon Brooks - SG/SF - Memphis Grizzlies (37% rostered)

Brooks found his way to the wire recently due to a combination of his poor field goal percentage, the return of Ja Morant and the Grizzlies having five games postponed over the last week and a half. The Grizzlies are now back to playing games and have a four game week coming up, including games on Tuesday and Thursday. Brooks is averaging 15.1 points per game and is coming off a 14-point performance with 45.5 percent shooting in their first game back.

Carmelo Anthony - SF/PF - Portland Trail Blazers (37% rostered)

Kendrick Nunn - PG/SG - Miami Heat (28% rostered)

THREE-POINTERS

Gary Trent Jr. - SG/SF - Portland Trail Blazers (32% rostered)

Trent Jr. was the expected beneficiary after C.J. McCollum (foot) went down, but Portland decided to start Rodney Hood over him. Since then, Trent was upgraded into the starting lineup and is averaging 18.5 points and 4.5 three-pointers over his past four games. The Trail Blazers have four games this week and McCollum is out for the next few weeks so Trent should be in your lineup if you are in need of threes and points.

REBOUNDS

Tristan Thompson - PF/C - Boston Celtics (18% rostered)

Another Celtic appearing on the segment as Thompson is still grabbing boards despite the push to the bench. Thompson has at least five rebounds in his past eight games since coming back from quarantine. Thompson won't exactly help you in other areas, but he has four games this week which could amount to 25+ rebounds for your match up.

Joe Ingles - SG/SF - Utah Jazz (40% rostered)

Ingles has since bounced back from a very slow start to the season and has been a solid contributor to Utah's early season success. Ingles is averaging 6.0 assists over his six games and has at least one three in each of those games. Ingles does not really hurt you in other categories and play on all the quality streaming days this week.

STEALS

Jarred Vanderbilt - SF/PF - Minnesota Timberwolves (25% rostered)

Vanderbilt has been a solid contributor across the past couple of weeks and has added opportunity with a few Timberwolves still in quarantine. Coming into Sunday, Vanderbilt has a steal in seven straight games. He also has at least a block in each game over that span. Vanderbilt recently moved to the bench with Naz Reid (wrist) out, but should still get an average of 24.0 minutes per game.

De'Anthony Melton - PG/SG - Memphis Grizzlies (8% rostered)

Melton is currently averaging 1.0 blocks per game from the guard position and is coming off a 20-point, five-rebound, four-three-pointer and two-block performance in 32 minutes on Saturday. Melton should be either the starting two guard or immediate backup point guard for the Grizzlies and may get extra minutes with Grayson Allen (health and safety protocols) still out.

Morris has been a solid off the bench player this year for the Denver Nuggets and is in line for a bigger role in the near future. Gary Harris (adductor) suffered a left adductor strain Sunday and did not return. If you recall, Harris missed time earlier in the year with a right adductor strain and Morris was the direct beneficiary. If Harris misses time this week, Morris would be a target to stream who can help you without the expense of turnovers.
