FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/24/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back to a terrific Saturday for daily fantasy baseball. Today we have a split slate with four early games, five if you count the 6:10 p.m. ET game, and 10 games on the main slate. Both  slates are packed with high end pitching meaning we will have to be smart about  finding our value plays. Let's dig in.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/24/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Seattle Mariners vs. Tyler Duffey (Twins)

After a series loss against the Jays in which they only scored six runs over three games they exploded last night in a 10-1 win over the Twins. Look for much of the same on Saturday when they face Tyler Duffey who has bee terrible in the second half. In his last 10 starts he has allowed four or more earned runs seven times and has a 8.53 ERA since the All Star break.Build your stack around Robinson Cano, Kyle Seager and Nelson Cruz and throw in some value with Norichika Aoki or Seth Smith who frequent the top of the lineup.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. C.C. Sabathia (Yankees)

The Blue Jays bats appear to have started to heat up just in time as there is around six teams within four games of a wildcard spot. The Jays are getting healthy at the right time and now have Devon Travis back in the leadoff spot followed by power combination of Josh Donaldson, Edwin Encarnacion and Jose Baustista. They Jays are an extremely deep team giving us options to differentiate our stacks. Russell Martin , Troy Tulowitzki and even Melvin Gordon Jr. are in play today.

Also Consider: Houston Astros vs. Jhoulys Chacin (Angels)

 

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Rick Porcello (SP, BOS) $9,800

Looking at the early slate there are two elite options on the mound in Rick Porcello and Yu Darvish. Porcello is definitely the safest option of the two as Darvish has given up six or more earned runs in two of his last three starts. Porcello leads the majors in wins despite just an average strikeout rate(7.43 K/9) but sits with a very impressive 3.08 ERA pitching in one of the worst pitchers parks in the big leagues. He gets a nice park upgrade today in Tampa Bay against a Rays team that has nothing left to play for this season.

Madison Bumgarner (SP, SD) $11,000

He is just $400 more than Kershaw who has been on a pitch count in his first three starts back and you know the Dodgers will play it safe should he get in any trouble at all. Bumgarner gets the best matchup of the entire slate on the road in Petco vs. the Padres who rank 21st in wOBA(.313) and strikeout 25% of the tie against left handed pitching. Bumgarner is safe in all formats tonight.

Also Consider: Joe Ross (SP, WSH) $8,000

 

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Evan Gattis (C, HOU) $3,000

One of the top catchers over the last 14 days slashing .262/.340/.690 with six home runs. He has hit for a much better average against southpaws but 20 of his 30 home runs have come against right handed pitching. Terrific high upside tournament option.

Paul Goldschmidt (1B, ARI) $3,400

Excellent value on Goldy tonight as he comes in ranked 12th in salary at first base. He absolutely crushes left handed pitching with a .447 wOBA, 178 wRC+ and .233 isolated power for the season.

Devon Travis (2B, TOR) $3,700

He has coped quite well with moving around the lineup this season and is finally back in the leadoff spot as the Jays start to heat up down the stretch. In the month of September he is .354 while getting on base at .376 clip and adding nine runs batted in and seven runs scored. He is an excellent play in any format.

Troy Tulowitzki (SS, TOR) $3,200

Great value for the Jays shortstop coming off a big night with two hits and four runs batted in the first game against the Yankees. He is starting to heat up with hits in five of his last seven games and has enjoyed success against Sabathia with four hits in eight career at bats.

Adrian Beltre (3B, TEX) $3,000

Beltre keeps raking in the hits and the price stays the same. He has now recorded a hit in five straight and 17 of his last 19 games with four doubles and six home runs. Until he cools off he is a near must lay in cash games. The Rangers clinched the division last night but still have home field advantage to play for so expect another strong effort.

 

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Mookie Betts (OF, BOS) $4,100

He comes with a little bit of a discount from Trout and Turner and has been the better of the three lately with hits in 10 straight games. The Red Sox are surging towards a East division title and look unstoppable right now. If you can make it work he is safe in all formats today.

Andrew McCutchen (OF, PIT) $3,400

The slow start to the 2016 season is now in the rear view and McCutchen is only looking to finish strong and look forward to next season. He is doing just that with hits in 11 straight games including four straight multi hit efforts. At a mid $3K price he is safe in all formats tonight.

Miguel Sano (OF, MIN) $3,100

He has been struggling with back problems for some time now and made his return to the lineup on Thursday and has three hits in two games. He will most likely be faded by many making him a high upside GPP play on Friday.
