FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/10/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back to a full day of Saturday baseball. Things are getting tight in the playoff races in both leagues which provides us fans some very exciting baseball in the final month.

Today we have a split slate with four early and 11 evening games with multiple slates to fit anyone's schedule.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/10/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Cleveland Indians vs Hector Santiago (Twins)

The Indians have been red hot lately winning three straight and nine of their last 11 games on the back of their offense that has scored 60 runs in that time. They make a great stacking option Saturday as they are projected for the second highest run total(4.93) of the day. They have been a better hitting club against right handed pitching this season but should have no problem with Hector Santiago. Since the beginning of August he has posted a 5.89 xFIP while striking out less than six batters per nine and giving up a 16.4% HR/FB rate.

Kansas City Royals vs. James Shields (White Sox)

There are a few things to like about the Royals stack tonight. First of all, they aren't going to break the bank and come at a very nice value which will allow you to roster an elite pitcher with them. Second, they get one of the best matchups on the board against James Shields.  Since the beginning of August Shields has been one of the worst pitchers in all of baseball surrendering 38 earned runs(15 home runs) in just 28.1 innings for a gross 6.84 xFIP and 30% HR/FB rate.

Also Consider: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chase Anderson (Brewers)

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Max Scherzer (SP, WSH) $11,500

The Nationals are the biggest favorites(-290) of the entire day as they send their ace Max Scherzer to the mound. He comes into Saturday's matchup having won four straight starts pushing his record to 16-7 on the season with an elite 11.10 K/9 rate. Scherzer gets an elite matchup against the Phillies who rank 29th in wOBA(.295) and 30th in wRC+(81) vs. right handed pitching. There is definitely enough value tonight making Scherzer a safe play in any format.

Jon Gray (SP, COL) $8,200

If you are looking to load up and bats take the saving with Gray in a plus matchup in Petco. The Rockies are early -135 favorites facing the Padres who rank dead last in wOBA(.290) & wRC+(81) with a 25% strikeout rate against right handed pitching. Gray has been up and down this season but has shown very high upside with his 9.45  K/9 rate and 3.71 xFIP. It will be tough to trust him in cash games but is an excellent option for tournaments.

Also Consider - Robert Stephenson

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Victor Martinez (C, DET) $3,600

Martinez has now hit safely in four straight games and is coming off his 24th home run of the season last night. He has brought his impressive slash line up to .293/.349/.479 for the season and will have a great opportunity to build on it today. He has had tremendous success against Jimenez going 11 for 31 with four carer home runs.

Freddie Freeman (1B, ATL) $3,300

Freemna has been incredibly consistent this season despite the crappy situation in Atlanta. He comes into today's game with hits in 15 straight and 26 of his last 27 games and sits with an elite .391 OBP for the season. He also also had success against Colon going 13 for 27 in his career. Freeman is safe in all formats today.

Dee Gordon (2B, MIA) $2,000

If you are looking to roster Scherzer today and some top bats you are going to need a punt play to make it work. Gordon makes an excellent option at minimum price while hitting from the leadoff spot. It has been a struggle for Gordon since returning but has picked it up recently with hits in three of his last four games. Gordon also has neutral splits for his career against left handed pitching.

Francisco Lindor (SS, CLE) $3,600

It has been another breakout season for Lindor who has set career highs in almost every number in his second season. He is a switch hitter with neutral splits and has been red hot lately. Over the last two weeks Lindor is slashing .453/.500/.604 with four doubles, two triples, nine runs and two stolen bases. He provides value in many categories and is safe in all formats.

Jedd Gyorko (3B, STL) $3,000

Gyorko has seen a boost in power in the second half with a 6% increase in his hard contact rate resulting in 19 of his 26 home runs. His value will rely on the batting order today as the Cardinals have been know to shuffle the deck on a daily basis but Gyorko has been mostly hitting out of the two hole.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Trea Turner (OF, WSH) $4,100

In 52 games with the Nats this season Turner has really impressed slashing .345/.365/.561 with eight home runs while adding 21 stolen bases. He has brought a big spark to the lineup hitting out of the leadoff spot ahead of Bryce Harper and company. He comes at a premium price but has one of the highest floors of any outfielder today.

Randal Grichuk (OF, STL) $3,600

Grichuk is another value play from the Cardinals today in a great matchup against Chase Anderson and the Brewers. Grichuk has been on his best roll of the season lately hitting over .300 with a .724 slugging % in August and September. He strikes out over 25% of the time and walks just 6% leaving him a GPP play only today with a low floor and high ceiling.

Josh Reddick (OF, LAD) $3,000

After a very slow start with the Dodgers since being traded Reddick has caught fire. He has recorded a hit in seven straight games including four multi hit efforts and five runs scored out of the six hole. The price is still at the bottom of the mid range making him a safe option in any format.
