Recent Update

4/27:Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Hector Santiago turned in a solid outing against the Rangers on Wednesday. He held Texas to two runs over five innings of work as the Twins went on to fall 14-3. He walked four and struck out six in the game and wound up taking a no-decision as Minnesota's bullpen fell apart. Santiago has been excellent through his first five starts this season, allowing just eight runs and ringing up 23 strikeouts over 29 2/3 innings. The veteran left-hander is worthy of a roster spot on fantasy teams, but keep in mind that his 86.8 percent strand rate and .247 BABIP both suggest regression is coming. Santiago made the start a day after the passing of his grandmother and was placed on the bereavement list after the game. He will be out of action through the weekend. Stay tuned to see when his next start will be scheduled.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
