FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (8/13/16): MLB DFS Advice

Welcome back to another Saturday edition of our daily fantasy picks for FanDuel. The four game afternoon slate kicks off at 1:05 PM et with the 11 game main slate starting at 7:05 PM et. FanDuel continues to give us a ton of value plays to choose form which makes it extremely easy to build around elite pitching. The good news is we have multiple options today. Let's take a look at some top picks at each position.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/13/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

Editor's Note: Purchase a full season NFL Premium Pass (including Draft Kit + DFS Premium), and also get MLB Premium + DFS for free through October. Premium DFS lineup picks, expert lineups, tools and more - seven days a week. You can see screenshots of our NFL Premium and MLB Premium and DFS tools. What are you waiting for?

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

Boston Red Sox vs. Archie Bradley (Diamondbacks)

The Red Sox got back on track last night pounding Patrick Corbin for nine hits and eight runs(four earned). They will be in another great spot to keep the offense rolling on Saturday as they are big favorites in the days largest overall Vegas Total. They will face off against Archie Bradley today who hasn't fared much better than Corbin lately. He has allowed 15 hits and 10 earned runs over his last two starts pushing his xFIP to 4.26 for the season. Target the top of the order tonight(Dustin Pedroia, Mookie Betts, David Ortiz, Xander Bogaerts).

Minnesota Twins vs. Dillon Gee (Royals)

It's been a disappointing for the Twins who sit in the basement of the American League. That hasn't stopped them from being the hottest hitting team over the last 14 days. In that time they have a .374 wOBA and 136 wRC+ to lead baseball by a large margin. They will get a matchup against Dillon Gee who will be back starting Saturday after a stint in the bullpen. He has really struggled in the rotation lately giving up 2 earned runs in his last three starts while striking out just seven and walking seven batters. You can usually get the Twins at a very low ownership making them an excellent contrarian option.

Also Consider: Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Clay Buchholz (Red Sox)

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Jacob deGrom (SP, NYM) $12,200

From a value standpoint, deGrom is the top option tonight as he is cheaper than MadBum and the Mets are big -220 home favorites in a game with a low 7.0 Vegas total.  The matchup is also very favorable against the Padres who rank dead last in wOBA(.293) and 28th in wRC+ vs. right handed pitching. He will most definitely be the chalk tonight but is a safe bet in all formats.

Madison Bumgarner (SP, SF) $11,400

He is $600 more than deGrom today and has a tougher matchup vs. a top 10 overall offense. For these reasons he makes a terrific GPP play that should be a bit lower owned. While the Orioles sit 4th in wOBA against right handed pitching they struggle vs. southpaws ranking 26th in wOBA while striking out 21.4% of the time.

Also Consider - Adam Conley (SP, MIA) $8,100

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Wilson Ramos (C, WSH) $3,400

He leads all catchers in wOBA(.396) and remains an elite fantasy play and comes at a discount from the top option in Lucroy tonight. Since August 1st Ramos is has a very impressive .444/.448/.815 slash line with three home runs and a 231 wRC+. He is safe in all formats tonight.

Jose Abreu (1B, CWS) $3,000

Great value with Abreu tonight who has really heated up lately.  He comes in to tonight with hits in five straight and nine of his last 10 games including three home runs. His price on FanDuel continues to sit in the mid to low tier range making him a safe play in any format.

Brian Dozier (2B, MIN) $3,900

He is the most expensive option at the position and worth every penny. Since being moved to the leadoff spot July 29th he has a very impressive .323/.373/.774 slash line with six home runs and a 201 wRC+. He gets another favorable matchup vs. Dillon Gee who has been pretty bad this season with a 4.77 xFIP and 15% HR/FB rate.

Elvis Andrus (SS, TEX) $3,200

There isn't a whole bunch to like at the position and Andrus makes a top play from a value perspective. He comes at a discount from the top options and went into Friday night's game with a four game hit streak. He crushes left handed pitching with a .371 wOBA and 128 wRC+ and Matt Boyd shouldn't provide much resistance with his 4.57 xFIP and 14.5% HR/FB rate.

Jose Ramirez (3B, CLE) $3,000

No one at the position has been hotter than Jose Ramirez. He picked up another three hits in last night's game to extend his hit streak to 16 games. In that time he is slashing .441/.476/.695 with four home runs, nine runs bated in, and 15 runs scored. At $3,000 he is safe in all formats.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Mike Trout (OF, LAA) $4,400

He hasn't been setting the world on fire recently which should force his ownership down making him an elite GPP play tonight. He is still the best hitter on the planet and gets a nice matchup vs. Mike Clevinger who is having a tough time getting batters out. He has an average strikeout rate(7.40 K/9) with an awful walk rate(5.66 BB/9) to go with his 5.29 xFIP in four starts.

Miguel Sano (OF, MIN) $3,200

Despite dealing with elbow pain lately and spending time at the DH spot, Sano continues to rake. He comes into tonight with a eight game hit streak including five home runs. He has scored double digit FanDuel points in six of those eight games. He is safe in all formats on  tonight.

Michael Saunders (OF, TOR) $3,100

He was moved back up to the cleanup spot on Friday night and delivered a opposite field solo shot in a losing effort. With that home run he has now set a career high with 20 on the season and should relieve some pressure.  If he remains in the cleanup spot on Saturday he is a tremendous value in the low $3K price range.

Also Consider: Kole Calhoun (OF, LAA) $3,000
