EURO 2020 DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (6/15/21) - EURO 2020 Soccer

RotoBaller soccer expert Vince Dray breaks down the EURO 2020 DFS slate for FanDuel on 6/15/21.

Hello, RotoBallers! My EURO DFS coverage got off to a hot start last Friday and Saturday, but Sunday proved to be a loss on all fronts. After a day off Monday, I'm back and ready to return to successful ways. We just have two games on Tuesday, so there is no need to set an early alarm. I have a full breakdown for you covering this slate. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Tuesday's slate.

The large majority of my DFS content will be covering the EURO 2020 tournament until the EPL returns in August, however, there is always more soccer DFS to cover. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL/UCL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! We have had some great conversations in the Premium Slack chat about the past few UCL slates.

You can also get access to my brain for questions and edits to lineups for Wednesday. In this article, I will be providing you with my EURO 2020 daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/15/21 for the slate that locks at 12:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

UCL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Hungary vs Portugal

Group F will kick off with these two teams taking the field Tuesday. Portugal (-215) are one of the largest favorites that we've seen the first time through the groups. They will need a strong start against Hungary with two difficult games upcoming. They should control this game, and their star players will come with a lot of ownership on this slate with this matchup. The goal total over/under is 2.5.

Germany vs France

The second game in Group F will be one of the most anticipated fixtures of the first week of the tournament. You can see why Group F was deemed this tournament's Group of Death with these two and Portugal. According to FIFA's rankings, France, Germany, and Portugal are top 12 in the world (top eight in Europe), and they have all been drawn into the same group. France (+170) are one of the favorites to win this tournament. They're returning a ton of key players from their 2018 World Cup win and are in great form on top of that. Vegas has the money line odds very close in this game with the goal total over/under at 2, 2.5.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Based on matchup analysis and Vegas data, it is Portugal with the best matchup fantasy-wise. We have not seen many players who have anytime goal odds like Cristiano Ronaldo ($22) has on Tuesday. He is -110 to score and should be considered one of the top plays on the slate. Portugal are big favorites, and the over/under is significantly higher in this game compared to the late game. He should be locked into 90 minutes on this slate and is coming off a goal in Portugal's 4-0 drubbing of Israel last week. He has one of the highest ceilings on this slate and also has a strong floor with his gaudy shooting stats.

Bruno Fernandes ($19) is too cheap for his floor/ceiling combination and this matchup. He will be able to create a ton of chances in this game just like he does on a weekly basis for Manchester United during the club season. He's a great way to maximize your exposure to Portugal's attacking group and can also be used as a one-off if not paying up for Ronaldo.

Diogo Jota ($17) cannot be ignored on this slate either. He was not very productive in Portugal's last two tune-up matches last week, but he did score three goals in two games in some World Cup qualifying matches with Portugal back in March. If you follow the EPL, you know the kind of attacking quality that Jota has. I am recommending getting two of these Portugal attackers on this slate as they are the largest favorites and the most likely to bag multiple goals on this slate.

The list of capable attackers in the Germany vs France game is endless. Each have rosters full of world-class attackers, so much so that many of them will even start on the bench. Kylian Mbappe ($22) leads the game in anytime scoring odds - but the odds are not great at +245. He has proven to be matchup-proof and can score against the best teams. I like him as a pivot off of a chalky Ronaldo. Antoine Griezmann ($19) is my second-favorite French attacker. He scored in both final tune-up games for the team last week, and I'd take the $2 savings over Karim Benzema ($21).

The French have a very stout defense which makes some of the German attackers a little risky. I'd prefer to pay down for a mid-tier German like Joshua Kimmich ($14) or Toni Kroos ($15) in a game like this and save some of their studs for when they play Hungary.

N'Golo Kante ($8) is my favorite value attackers of the slate.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

For me, it's going to be all about the value at defender on this slate. Pepe ($8) is a solid play as one of the cheapest expected starters on the slate. I believe that Portugal keeps a clean sheet here so Pepe should only need a few other additional peripheral stats to hit value on this slate.

Antonio Rudiger ($9) will have his hands full trying to defend France's powerful attack on Tuesday. He ended the season in great form for Chelsea, and his position as a centerback will be useful in a game like this for collecting defensive peripherals.

Attila Szalai ($11) and Willi Orban ($12) will also be busy defending Portugal for the large majority of this game. They are in a prime position to get plenty of opportunities at defensive peripherals on this slate. It remains a question as to who else will start for Hungary in their backline. We might see someone like Attila Fiola ($5) start for minimum price, and he would then make for a great value play. Check my Twitter (@vdray5) for updates.

FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers

I think that France can win this game with strong defense keeping Germany out of their net. Therefore, Hugo Lloris ($10) is a good play for this price. He should still be able to make plenty of saves, and both bonuses will result in a huge fantasy day for him.

Rui Patricio ($13) is a fine play too if you can afford him. He is the most likely to get both bonuses, but with the attacking studs on the slate, finding the cash to get him might prove difficult.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
