BALLER MOVE: Add in 10+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Before this week-long slate of games, we had only saw Duke Johnson once playing for Miami--or anyone, actually. He did so back on Week 11 when he logged a ridiculously laughable six snaps for 1.8 PPR points against the Jets... and that's it for him in 2021. Until this weekend arrived and Duke pay tribute to his name to the extent of actually becoming more of a King than anything else.
Johnson started for Miami, featured on all 71 offensive snaps, put up an RB1 PPR tally to the tune of 25.7 fantasy points, and did so outcarrying all teammates with 22 rushing attempts for 107 yards and two touchdowns while catching his lone target on the day (and the season) for a high 20 bonus yards receiving. There is obviously an inherent risk in roster/starting Duke Johnson, and it has to do with Miami's backfield state of affairs.
The Dolphins have used six different rushers this year. None of them is averaging even 12 PPR points per game, and only Myles Gaskin has topped 55 carries through Week 15. It is possible that Phillip Lindsay returns eventually, same as Malcolm Brown. Salvon Ahmed might get back to racking up carries, and Gaskin isn't going anywhere even on a diminished role of late. If Duke gets the call next weekend, then it's alright to go chasing and starting him. If he does not, though, the timeshare will be too much to exploit in most fantasy leagues.
