DraftKings Lineup Picks & Sleepers (5/2/17): MLB DFS Advice

We have a huge 15 game slate tonight, and there are plenty of options at each position. There are a few crazy Vegas lines, as well, as there are three teams that are -190 or higher favorites.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/2/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

You can read our FanDuel and Yahoo DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

New York Yankees vs Mat Latos

The Yankees are currently one of the hottest offenses in the MLB right now, as they have been scoring extremely well on their way to an impressive record. They get an elite matchup against Latos tonight, and he brings a 3.27 ERA into this game. He has only started two games this season, and while he found success in his last start, he looked awful against the Angels in his first game. New York is a -194 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs, and they are an elite stacking option in all leagues.

Boston Red Sox vs Alec Asher

Chris Sale is on the mound tonight, but this game is set at 9 runs, which shows the Red Sox are expected to score quite a bit tonight. Boston is currently a -240 favorite in this game. They get a matchup against Asher, who has thrown well in limited innings this season. He has struggled to strike batters out in his career, though, and pitchers generally find themselves in trouble when they cannot strikeout the Boston batters.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Chris Sale - vs BAL ($12,500)

Sale enters this game with a 1-2 record, but that does not show how well he has been throwing. He has an elite 1.20 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and 12.4 K/9 through his first five starts. It's only a matter of time before the Red Sox start providing Sale with run support and he picks up wins. He's a huge -240 favorite tonight, and he's an elite option in all leagues.

Trevor Cahill - vs COL ($5,000)

Cahill has struggled with a 4.50 ERA this season, but his fantasy outlook has been saved by his 11.3 K/9. He has only thrown one game in San Diego this season, but he was able to strike out six batters, while allowing only one run over seven innings. He gets a tough matchup against the Rockies, but he's extremely cheap and this game is set at only 7.5 runs.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Jeff Bandy - at STL ($2,500)

Bandy has quietly been playing at a high level recently, as he's hitting over .350 with six extra-base hits, six RBIs, and one steal over his last 10 games. He gets a tough matchup against Carlos Martinez tonight, but Bandy has dominated everyone, and he's an elite salary relief option.

First Base (1B)

Justin Bour - vs TB ($3,200)

Bour got off to a slow start, but he's hitting over .300 with good power over his last 10 games. He gets a matchup against Alex Cobb tonight, and Cobb has struggled with home runs this season. Bour is a powerful player that has tremendous upside in tournaments for his price tag.

Second Base (2B)

Jedd Gyorko - vs MIL ($3,700)

Gyorko continues to perform at a high level this season. He's hitting over .400 with great power over his last 10 games. He gets a great matchup against Wily Peralta, who has struggled this season. Gyorko has also been a better hitter against right-handed pitching, and he can be used in all leagues.

Shortstop (SS)

Tim Beckham - at MIA ($2,900)

Beckham's price tag is a bit surprising tonight. He has caught fire recently, and he has been a consistent player with tremendous upside. He has also been a better fantasy option on the road, and he gets a solid matchup against Edinson Volquez. Beckham makes a great salary relief option in all leagues.

Third Base (3B)

Chase Headley - vs TOR ($3,500)

Headley has been struggling a bit recently, but he has still been enjoying a good season. He has displayed a solid combination of speed and power, and he gets a great matchup against Mat Latos tonight. Headley is hitting in a favorable position in the Yankees lineup, and he can be used in all leagues on this slate.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Dexter Fowler - vs MIL ($4,400)

Fowler has been playing exceptionally well recently, as he's hitting over .350 with great power over his last 10 games. He has been a significantly better fantasy option at home this season, and he gets a great matchup against Wily Peralta. Fowler is leading off for a great offense tonight, and he can be used in all leagues.

Aaron Judge - vs TOR ($4,000)

It's tough to avoid Judge at this point. He's hitting over .300 with double digit home runs on the season. He has also hit the majority of his home runs at home, which is where he will be playing tonight. He gets an elite matchup against Mat Latos, and Judge is a crucial part of a Yankees stack tonight.

DFS Hitters to Avoid on DraftKings

Mark Trumbo - at BOS ($4,200)

Trumbo has really been struggling recently, as he's hitting under .150 with very little power over his last 10 games. He also has a terrible 23% hart-hit rate over the last two weeks, and he has struggled against left-handed pitching. If this wasn't enough to avoid him, Trumbo gets a matchup against Chris Sale, who has been one of the most impressive pitchers in the Majors this season.
