Sunday means tons of afternoon baseball and plenty of contests to participate in on DraftKings. Selecting a successful daily fantasy lineup means looking at the numbers and finding the best matchups. Some talented, young pitchers will take the mound today, as will some seasoned veterans. Choosing the right pair will go a long way to helping your lineup finish in the money.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 7/24/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Chicago White Sox vs. Anibal Sanchez (RHP)

Sanchez has struggled in July and enters today with three straight losses, having given up 15 total runs in the last three games. Current White Sox hitters have a lifetime .369 average against him with Jose Abreu (.545), Melky Cabrera (.484), and Brett Lawrie (.417) leading the way. Lefties Justin Morneau and Adam Eaton are also good choice today.

Washington Nationals vs. Christian Friedrich (LHP)

The Nationals are in a good spot today against lefty Christian Friedrich. He enters todays on a four-game losing streak and has a 6.46 ERA in July. Washington torched him for six runs the last time they faced him on June 17. Current Nationals have a lifetime .326 average against Friedrich. Daniel Murphy has a home run in four at-bats against him and Danny Espinosa is hitting .429 against him. Right-handers Wilson Ramos and Anthony Rendon are also good options today.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Rick Porcello, BOS vs. MIN - $9,200

Porcello enters today on a four-game win streak with five wins in his last six starts. He's having a fantastic season with the Red Sox, currently sitting with a record of 12-2 and an ERA of 3.47. he last faced the Twins back on June 12 and didn't factor in the decision after allowing just one earned run in seven innings with five strikeouts. Outside of Brian Dozier (three home runs), current Minnesota hittes have struggled against Porcello, posting a lifetime average of .249.

Vince Velasquez, PHI at PIT- $10,000

Velasquez is 8-2 on the season and has won three of his last four starts heading into today. He hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in a game since getting shelled for seven on May 29 by the Cubs. He has twice recorded seven strikeouts in the last four games. That strikeout ability, paired with the ability to keep teams from scoring, has helped him average 18.8 fantasy points for the season and 22 over his last four starts.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Miguel Montero, CHC at MIL - $3,000

Montero should be in line to get the start today with righty Junior Guerra on the hill. Montero has just three at-bats against Guerra, but he's got two hits and an RBI. The veteran catcher his hitting below the Mendoza Line this season, but in terms of daily fantasy, that ensures that he's available for a low price tag. This one is a deep sleeper option, but it's worth taking a risk with the favorable matchup.

First Base (1B)

David Ortiz, BOS vs. MIN - $4,600

Yes, I know, I've included Ortiz as a target a lot lately. However, it's more than justified. He's having a fantastic farewell season and doesn't seem to be slowing down. He gets another favorable matchup today with Minnesota's Tommy Milone. Although he has just three hits in 10 at-bats against the southpaw, all three hits have been home runs. Pay the big money today for Big Papi.

Second Base (2B)

Ryan Schimpf, SD at WAS- $3,500

With Saturday's home run, Schimpf has three homers in his last five games and has put up four double-digit fantasy performances in the last five games. His ownership could be a bit higher today than normal due to his recent stretch, but don't pass him up. He's on a good streak and won't cost you much.

Shortstop (SS)

Danny Espinosa, WAS vs. SD -$4,100

Espinosa has never been known for a high batting average, but that's okay in daily league. He does have pop and can provide home runs in doubles. You just have to hope that you don't select him on one of his days in which he doesn't record a hit. The switch hitter will be hitting from the right side against lefty Christian Friedrich today. Espinosa has a .244 average with seven home runs versus southpaws this season and he has a career .429 average against Friedrich.

Third Base (3B)

Adonis Garcia, ATL at COL - $4,500

Garcia continued his hot streak with two hits on Saturday and now brings a seven-game hit streak into today. He's been hitting well recently, putting up a .314 average in the month of July and he's been particularly strong over the last week. He's a third baseman who easily gets overlooked in daily lineups thanks to playing on a bad Atlanta team, but his hot streak and the fact that he's playing in Coors makes him a favorable option today.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Matt Kemp, SD at WAS - $3,400

Kemp is hot right now, so you might as well ride him while the streak lasts. He blasted two home runs Friday night and now has six in his last seven games, including a stretch of four straight games with a long ball. He carries an eight-game hit streak into today after racking up two doubles Saturday. Kemp's fantasy production has been through the roof over the last week, yet his price is still very affordable.

Giancarlo Stanton, MIA vs. NYM- $4,100

Stanton has had great success in limited appearances against Steven Matz, going 3-for-5 lifetime with two home runs off the southpaw. Stanton had four hits Saturday, including his first home run since July 10. Given his history with Matz, he's got a good shot to go yard again today. Stanton's number are obviously down this season, but that means that so is his price tag in daily leagues. If you're looking for some power in your lineup today, take Stanton to fill an outfield spot.

Melky Cabrera, CWS vs. DET - $3,600

The fact that Cabrera is hitting .344 this month, including .379 in the last week is enough to make him a target today. Adding to why he needs to be selected is the fact that he's had a ton of success when facing Anibal Sanchez. Cabrera is 15-31 lifetime with five RBI versus the right-hander. The switch-hitting Cabrera is batting .294 with seven home runs as a lefty this season. The numbers clearly favor taking Cabrera as one of your outfielders today.
