DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/14/16): MLB DFS Advice

It's another great Saturday with baseball games going on all throughout the day. Days like this provide you with an opportunity to participate in a variety of contests.

With every team in action, there are plenty of lineup options. You'll need to find the perfect balance of star power and sleepers.

Finding the right starting pitcher today could be a bit tricky, as there are not many aces to choose from with good matchups. Chicago's Jose Quintana is an obvious choice who will be highly-owned, but the second pitcher will take some searching.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/14/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Kansas City Royals vs. Mike Foltynewicz (RHP)

The Royals are one of the best options for a lineup stack today. Righty Mike Foltynewicz has appeared in two games so far and has struggled with an ERA of 5.06. Although he showed some improvement in his last start, he'll have a tough time against some of KC's left-handed hitters. Lefties are hitting .381 against him. Eric HosmerAlex Gordon, and Jarrod Dyson are all solid options today.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Scott Kazmir (LHP)

Kazmir has been roughed up by righties this season, allowing them to hit .272 with seven home runs, 10 walks and 15 RBI. Those numbers bode well for the likes of Matt Holiday, Randal Grichuk, and Aledmys Diaz.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Jose Quintana, CHW at NYY - $10,600

Quintana enters today's matchup riding a four-game win streak, having allowed just two earned runs over that span. He's putting together a stellar season posing a record of 5-1 with an ERA of 1.38. The Yankees have struggled this year, and current batters have hit just .115 lifetime against Quintana. The left-hander dealt with a finger cramp in his last start, but it shouldn't affect him today.

Aaron Nola, PHI vs. CIN - $9,500

The star pitcher options are limited today, meaning you'll have to look hard for a good starter. Aaron Nola is 2-2 this season, but has only allowed four total runs in his last four starts (three of them came his last time out). He faced the Reds on April 6 and picked up a no-decision while striking out eight with no walks. Consider Nola a great option at home today.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Wellington Castillo, ARI vs. SF- $3,700

Castillo has been one of the top options at catcher so far this season. He's hitting for both power and average and has recently put up some big numbers in terms of DraftKings fantasy points. Getting great production from a catcher is key in daily fantasy baseball, and Castillo is a solid option today. He got the day off Friday, so he should be well-rested and ready to go today.

First Base (1B)

Eric Hosmer, KC vs. ATL - $4,600

Hosmer has been tearing the cover off the ball this season, putting up a fantastic batting average and on-base percentage. As mentioned above, he makes for a great play against right-hander Mike Foltynewicz. Hosmer can provide fantasy production in several categories, making him a solid play on most days.

Second Base (2B)

Scooter Gennett, MIL vs. SD - $4,300

Gennett missed a few weeks with an injury but returned to the lineup Thursday, picking up two hits and a walk and gaining eight fantasy points for his owners. He was given the night off Friday, so will likely be back in the fold Saturday. He's hitting .277 this season with four home runs and five RBI. The good average and surprise power, paired with his spot near the top of Milwaukee's lineup, make him a solid daily fantasy play.

Shortstop (SS)

Aledmys Diaz, STL at LAD - $3,100

Diaz has been producing at a great clip for his daily fantasy owners, particularly considering his low price tag. He's shown some surprise power with five home runs this season, but his main value come in his ability to get on base. He's hit lefties extremely well this season and is a great play today.

Third Base (3B)

Manny Machado, BAL vs. DET - $5,300

Machdo shows up as a top fantasy office on a daily basis because he's becoming a no-brainer. Machado is making a case to be considered the best fantasy player moving forward. A sweet swing, along with playing in a hitter's park, have helped the young infielder put up some fantastic numbers. Look for value elsewhere, go ahead and spend on Machado today.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Gregor Blanco, SF at ARI - $3,200

In tournament plays, Gregor Blanco has become a very good sleeper option. He gets easily overlooked, hitting at the bottom of San Francisco's lineup, but is capable of putting up some solid production considering how much he'll cost you. His price is super-low, so take a chance. Just check his status, as Angel Pagan got the start in his place Friday night.

Jackie Bradley Jr., BOS vs. HOU - $4,000

After flying under the radar, Bradley Jr. has quickly become a valuable fantasy commodity, especially in daily formats. With another multi-hit game Friday night, he's extended his streak to six games with at least two hits. His price tag has steadily increased, so he's getting out of the value range. Still, Bradley Jr. is a very smart play today.

Charlie Blackmon, COL vs. NYM- $5,100

The Colorado outfielder is back to his productive ways. He enters today with a 10-game hit streak and is currently worth the hit to your salary cap. Blackmon is already a solid choice, but considering he's playing in Coors today, the option is even better.
