DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (10/15/16): MLB DFS Advice

With only four teams remaining, the fantasy options are limited today. However, if you're interested in choosing from the small talent pool, DraftKings has plenty of action for you today. Chicago, Cleveland, LA, and Toronto all provide some good targets to pick from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/15/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings. The following targets have been selected for all day contests on DraftKings.

Editor's Note: If you like DraftKings, be sure to also check out FantasyAces. New users that sign up on Fantasy Aces and make a $20 deposit will receive RotoBaller's full season NFL Premium Pass for free (including Premium DFS & MLB Premium), normally a $59.99 value. DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Josh Tomlin  (RHP)

If you are looking to do a stack today Toronto seems to be the best option. Current Blue Jay hitters have a combined lifetime average of .295 against Josh Tomlin. The right-hander struggled against the Blue Jays this year, allowing seven runs on 16 hits in just 10.1 innings of work. You won't be able to fit a lot of the big bats under the salary cap, but if you're interested in stacking the Blue Jays, there are a few ways to do it.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

J.A. Happ, TOR at CLE - $8,100

Happ gets the call for the Blue Jays in Game 1 of the ALCS. He was strong in the ALDS against Texas, pitching five innings and allowing just one run. In one start against the Indians in the regular season Happ allowed one run in seven innings and picked up a win. the Indians played extremely well against Boston in the ALDS, and picked up a Game 1 win Friday, but Toronto is a team that can provide great run support for its starting pitcher.

Jon Lester, CHC vs. LAD- $11,700

Lester will be making his second start Saturday in this year's postseason. He pitched eight shutout innings in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Giants. In that game he stuck out five and didn't walk anybody. He ended the regular season on a high note, going 9-1 over his final 12 starts. Current LA hitters have a lifetime .174 average against him and he went 1-0 against the Dodgers this year, allowing just one run in 15 innings.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

David Ross CHC vs. LAD - $3,200

The farewell tour will continue for at least four more games for Jon Lester's personal catcher. David Ross has been a spark for Chicago, despite hitting just .167 this postseason. He hit a key two-run homer in Game 4 of the NLDS and will look to build on that in the NLCS. Ross isn't a sure bet for fantasy production, but an average of 5.5 fantasy points a game in the regular season and a price tag around $3,000 is the type of value you need to find for a successful daily lineup.

First Base (1B)

Adrian Gonzalez, LAD at CHC - $3,000

Although you'll be starting Jon Lester, it's not a bad idea to plug Adrian Gonzalez in a first base. With limited options, take a shot on a cheaply-priced Gonzalez. He's struggled in his career against Lester (.125), but he's riding a four-game hit streak heading into today and has an average of seven fantasy points a game. If he gets anywhere near that today you'll be more than happy to pay the small price for him.

Second Base (2B)

Darwin Barney, TOR at CLE  - $2,800

Barney is a pure speculative play, but if he finds himself in the lineup he'll be a cheap option for you. With Devon Travis being injured Friday night, Barney could be slotted in at second base today. He was hitless in seven at-bats in the ALDS, but is 3-for-4 lifetime against opposing starter Josh Tomlin.

Shortstop (SS)

Troy Tulowitzki, TOR at CLE - $4,300

Tulo has a four-game hit streak and is still one of the best offensive shortstops in the game. From a fantasy perspective, he's averaging 7.3 fantasy points a game and has posted at least 19 points in two of his last four games. He's 4-for-10 against Josh Tomlin and enters today with a four-game hit streak.

Third Base (3B)

Javier Baez, CHC vs. LAD - $4,000

Baez has arguably been the MVP for the Cubs so far this postseason. He enters today with a six-game hit streak and has averaged nearly nine points on DraftKings in his last four games. He hit .273 in the regular season and has hit .375 in his four postseason games. Baez has done a bit of everything for the Cubs and needs to be in your lineup. He's got extra value thanks to the fact he can be used at either second or third base.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Kris Bryant, CHC vs. LAD  - $5,100

Bryant is worth targeting on most nights thanks to the fact that he's one of the most valuable fantasy guys still available. He's able to slot in at a few different positions and can provide big numbers for his fantasy owners. He's hitting .375 in the postseason, racking up at least one hit in each of the four games of the NLDS. He had a huge performance in Game 3, racking up three hits, including a home run. Bryant can hit for both average and power and is more than trustworthy in daily lineups.

Ezequiel Carrera, TOR at CLE- $3,800

Carrera gets the luxury of hitting at the top of a potent Toronto lineup, especially if Devon Travis is out of the lineup. Although he was hitless Friday night, he hit .317 in the ALDS. Despite having a .248 average in the regular season, Carrera has become an important piece of the offense for the Blue Jays. He a threat to steal when he gets on base, adding to his value in fantasy leagues. With two double-digit fantasy performances in his last three games, Carrera is a solid option in the outfield today.

Lonnie Chisenhall, CLE vs. TOR - $3,400

Chisenhall is another player you'll want to target despite also choosing the starting pitcher he'll be facing. With only four teams in action, it's a situation that's hard to avoid. The Cleveland outfielder is coming off a three-hit game Friday and has a four-game hitting streak overall. He's hitting .462 in the postseason and can be a good source of fantasy points. He likely won't go deep, but multiple hits are certainly in the cards.
