Dontayvion Wicks is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for wide receivers. Target him as a free agent waiver add for Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Dontayvion Wicks found the end zone in the Green Bay Packers win in Week 7. He saw six targets to finish with three receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. The Packers' wide receiver room at full strength is crowded, and there is plenty of competition for targets, including Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, and even tight end Tucker Kraft.
It's hard to envision the weekly consistency being there for Wicks in fantasy, but the upside is there should any of his teammates in the pass-catching department miss time. Wicks has just one double-digit target game on the year and remains a touchdown-dependent play for fantasy.

After an overall WR3 finish in Week 4 of the season, Wicks has cooled off in recent weeks, except in games where he has scored a touchdown. He's worth stashing in deeper formats, but it's hard to imagine enough volume being there each week for him to become a consistent performer for your fantasy lineups.
While quarterback Jordan Love continues to play at a high level, it's important to temper our expectations for Wicks going forward.
