Welcome back to the DFS Patrol. Regular season basketball is officially over which means it's all baseball here on out. In this article, I’ll be providing you with the top starting pitcher streamers for daily fantasy baseball (DFS) and for seasonal leagues for 4/23/16. These streamers will range from high-priced / high-ownership options to low-priced / low-ownership options, and will be sleepers and value picks for your cash games and GPPs on DraftKings and FanDuel, and also for seasonal leagues with daily lineups.

With Saturday comes a full slate of baseball to devour. Unfortunately Blake Snell is not on the docket for either site, which is a buzzkill for us fans who know Snell's potential. Alas, there's plenty of good pitching including Jose Fernandez, Felix Hernandez, and Corey Kluber.

Steven Matz (NYM) @ ATL

FanDuel - $8,300 / DraftKings - $8,700

Don't let the 7.72 ERA fool you. Matz struck out nine Indians in seven innings last time out and struck out over a batter per inning on the road in 2015. The Braves are nothing to be scared of. Mets take this easily.

Jose Fernandez (MIA) @ SF

FanDuel - $11,000 / DraftKings - $11,500

The Good: JoFer has 27 strikeouts in 16 innings. The Bad: He's allowing too many baserunners. The Better: FanDuel doesn't punish you for that. The Giants have been struggling as an offense and Jake Peavy is on the mound. Love this play on FD.

Max’s Value Plays of the Day

Michael Wacha (STL) @ SD

FanDuel - $8,800 / DraftKings - $8,900

Wacha has allowed one earned run in his past two starts and gets a struggling Padres lineup. His opponent on the mound is Claudio Vargas, who just got the call from AA. Wacha isn't going to struck out 10+ batters, but he's got a great chance for a win and is a solid cash play.

J.A. Happ (TOR) vs OAK

FanDuel - $7,700 / DraftKings - $7,400

Happ has posted a shiny 1.92 ERA in three starts, albeit with only 12 strikeouts. The Athletics struggle versus lefties and the Blue Jays will need this game to take the home series. I like Happ is an SP2 on DK.

Starting Pitchers to Fade in Daily Fantasy Baseball

Felix Hernandez (SEA) @ LAA

FanDuel - $11,000 / DraftKings - $10,600

PLenty of people will jump on Felix thanks to the name and shiny ERA versus the Angels. The truth is his fastball was rated as one of the worst in 2015 and hasn't shown any improvements yet. At this price range you're better off using JoFer.
