Brandin Cooks' fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 13 (2023). Our advice on whether you should start or sit Brandin Cooks for fantasy lineups.
BALLER MOVE: Start in 14+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR3
ANALYSIS: The red-hot Dallas Cowboys are looking to extend their three-game win streak on Thursday night when they square off against the Seattle Seahawks. Over this three-game span, they’ve averaged a whopping 42 points per game and QB Dak Prescott has thrown for a total of 10 touchdowns.
It hasn’t just been Prescott and WR CeeDee Lamb carrying the load for the Cowboys, but veteran WR Brandin Cooks as well. Prior to this three-game stretch, Cooks saw only 165 yards total across a seven-game span. In Week 10, he surpassed his previous season total in one game when he notched a nine-catch, 173-yard, one-touchdown performance in a win against the New York Giants.
Since then, he’s posted a four-catch, 42-yard stat line in the win against the Carolina Panthers in Week 11, and a five-catch, 72-yard, and one-touchdown outing on Thanksgiving against the Washington Commanders.
The Seahawks make for a decent matchup for Cooks, as they have allowed the 14th-most fantasy points to the position this season. Their recent form has been even less impressive, allowing the 11th-most fantasy points to receivers over their last two games.
That being said, their rush defense hasn’t been sturdy either. Fantasy managers can expect Dallas to look to gain control of the game early by way of their RBs Tony Pollard and Rico Dowdle.
Cooks’ recent form and the high-flying Dallas offense make him worthy of a start as a WR3/Flex option in deeper formats as they look to continue their hot streak.
