MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (4/3/2026)
Here are all the hitters I'll cover for HR props on Friday, April 3.
| Hitter | Team | Opponent | HR Odds | Sportsbook |
| Freddie Freeman | Los Angeles Dodgers | Washington | 450 | theScoreBet |
| Corey Seager | Texas | Cincinnati | 429 | Novig |
| Max Muncy | Athletics | Houston | 880 | Novig |
| Corbin Carroll | Arizona | Atlanta | 463 | DraftKings |
Freddie Freeman OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+450 theScoreBet)
In the ninth inning of Wednesday's game, Freeman crushed his first homer of the season. He's only 5-for-24 (.208) on the season, but even though his batting average is down, his hard-hit rate and his barrel rate are both up from last year. His xSLG is .629, and xwOBA is .418, which are both dramatic improvements on last year's numbers, when he hit 24 homers in 147 games.
Home run No. 1 of 2026 was an impressive smash to straightaway center field.

He has 20+ homers in nine straight seasons (not counting the pandemic-shortened 2020 season), and the 36-year-old lefty had a strong spring training, hitting .368 with a 48.6% hard-hit rate. Throughout his successful career, Freeman had made a habit of punishing the Nationals at Nationals Park. He has 11 homers in 99 career games in D.C., hitting .322 with. .921 OPS.
He also has a great history against Nationals' starter Miles Mikolas, who will get the start in Washington's home opener. Freeman is 9-for-21 (.429) in his career against Mikolas with three home runs.
While the Nats are celebrating their home opener, Freeman is in a great spot to spoil the party in this warm game with the wind blowing out.
Corey Seager OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+429 Novig)
Freeman's former teammate, Corey Seager, is off to a strong start for the Texas Rangers. He's already hit three bleacher reachers, going 7-for-22 with a homer on both Tuesday and Wednesday in Baltimore.

Seager and the Rangers had Thursday off, but after taking two of three games from the Phillies and the Orioles to begin their season, he and the Rangers will host the Cincinnati Reds in their home opener.
Seager has a 55.6% hard-hit rate in the early part of the season and has finished the year with over a 50% hard-hit rate each of the last four seasons. Last year, he hit 11 of his 21 homers and 13 of his 21 homers against righties.
He gets a good matchup against righty Brady Singer in the first game at Globe Life on Thursday afternoon. Singer had a 4.88 road ERA last year, and 15 of the 19 homers that he gave up were hit by left-handed hitters like Seager.
In the Rangers' home-opener on Friday afternoon, Seager has a good chance to deliver another long ball and a win at these home run props.

Max Muncy (ATH) OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+880 Novig)
As a rookie last year, Muncy hit nine homers in his 63 games in the majors after hitting three homers in 31 games in Triple-A. The 23-year-old has started and played every inning of the team's six games this season, going 4-for-22 (.182), but three of those hits went for extra bases, including his first homer of the season.

While he has 10 strikeouts in 23 plate appearances, Muncy has a 67% hard-hit rate with a 25% barrel rate. He has had trouble making contact at times, but when he does connect, he's hitting the ball hard.
Muncy and the Athletics are at Sutter Health Park for their home opener against the Astros and Cristian Javier. Javier gave up two homers in his first start of the year, giving up six runs in 4 2/3 innings. Righties hit both of those homers and hit two of the three homers he gave up last season as well.
Last season, eight of his nine homers were off right-handed pitchers, so he's on the strong side of his splits in this matchup against Javier, who looked hittable in his first start of the year.
In spring training, Muncy showed off his power potential with five homers in 50 at-bats, and in homer-friendly Sutter Health Park, he has a great chance to deliver on these long-shot home run props for Thursday night's game.
Corbin Carroll OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+463 DraftKings)
Carroll and the Diamondbacks host the Braves in the second game of their four-game set on Friday night in one of the night games on Apple TV. Carroll has quickly erased any concerns about the lingering effects of his hamate bone injury at the start of spring training.
He is 7-for-24 (.292) in his first seven games of the season, with a double, a triple, and two home runs. His second homer of the year happened Wednesday afternoon off Tarik Skubal, which was his third straight game with an extra-base hit.

While that blast came against one of the best lefties in the majors, Carroll hit 23 of his 31 homers last season against righties. He'll be taking on a hittable righty in Friday night's matchup against Grant Holmes.
Holmes gave up five hits and three runs in five innings in his first start of the season, with a homer allowed to lefty Carter Jensen. Last season, Holmes allowed 16 homers in 22 games. He gave up a 41.9% hard-hit rate and 10.1% barrel rate.
Carroll and the Diamondback lost Thursday night's series opener, 17-2. They'll look to bounce back against Holmes on Friday night, and Carroll has a good chance to continue leading the way based on his success in the splits and his strong current form to start the season.
