Carson Wentz is a fantasy football waiver wire pickup option for quarterbacks. Target him as a free agent add off waivers for Week 8 of the 2021 NFL season.

ANALYSIS: Despite playing in extremely wet conditions, Wentz had another solid outing against a tough defense in Week 7. Wentz threw two touchdown passes for the fourth game in a row and also ran in a score. The Colts are averaging 28 points over the last four games and seem to have found their mojo (a.k.a. give Jonathan Taylor the damn ball and stand back). Indy gets a rematch with Tennessee this coming week, which is a really good matchup on paper for Wentz and the Colts' passing game. He didn't fare well against them in Week 4, though, throwing for 194 yards with no touchdowns. This could be a battle of the running backs, but Wentz still makes for a decent high-end QB2 if you're in a pinch. He also has favorable matchups following Week 8 with the Jets and Jaguars on tap before a difficult Week 11 matchup against the Bills.
