Call of Duty DFS Lineup Picks (6/6/21) - DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby Hanson's DraftKings DFS lineup picks for Call of Duty on 6/6/21. He analyzes the COD slates and top lineup targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello there eSports DFS enthusiasts, and welcome back to RotoBaller's coverage of Call of Duty DFS contests for DraftKings! Welcome to another week of Stage 4 COD DFS! What a great Saturday! Bance and Cammy really killed it today and Optic, unfortunately, choked in Control and let Paris take a map. Minnesota made it quick for the poor Seattle Surge who can't seem to get anything right. Let's keep the momentum

This is easily one of my favorite sports to cover here at Rotoballer because I play a ton of COD myself and I like to think I'm pretty good at it as well. I have been following the COD League for about five years now and I finally get to put all this knowledge to the test! Sunday's set of games are looking to be a bunch of great ones! Most of the bottom tier teams played yesterday, so we some of the top teams today as Florida Mutineers takes on the LA Guerrillas, The LA Thieves get the No. 1 team in Atlanta FaZe, and Dallas Empire gets the NY Subliners.

Today I'll be bringing you my COD DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings for Sunday, June 6th, 2021, at 3:00 PM. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @DFSKoby or find me in the slack as I am happy to engage with readers and try to answer your questions!

Call of Duty: Florida Mutineers Home Series

Best of 5

  • LA Guerrillas (+190) vs. Florida Mutineers  (-260)
  • LA Thieves (+240) vs. Atlanta FaZe (-350)
  • Dallas Empire (+225) vs. NY Subliners (-310)

Slate Overview

Florida has been killing it lately, and LAG just has not. They are coming off a horrible loss against Dallas and Florida is coming off a couple of big wins and a very close matchup against a good NYSL squad. Florida has been on another level and with how Skyz is playing I'm leaving very little hope for this LA Guerrillas squad to pull out a win. If they have any chance of getting a win, it'll be in SnD, where LAG has been the best at, but I'm sure Florida makes a big focus of that game mode coming into this matchup.

Do we really need to talk about FaZe at this point? Just give them the win and move on. They are getting to a point where it's difficult to think that any team has a chance at knocking them off the throne. Only a few have done it and after LA Thieves lost to Paris, I don't have much hope they can rebound after that one and pull off a big upset against FaZe. Cellium, Abezy, and Simp are some of the best players in the league and LA Thieves doesn't stand much of a chance.

What a banger that matches against Florida was for NYSL, as they pulled off the win after being down 2-1 to Florida. Dallas Empire has been very inconsistent lately and their more recent matchup against NYSL, left Dallas feeling down as they were swept with ease. NYSL has one of the best Hardpoint teams in the league and has been solid in SnD as well. The only hope Dallas has is in Control, but Dallas hasn't been very good either in Control. So this one either ends in a 3-1 or 3-0 win by NYSL based on what happens in Control.

COD DFS Basics

  1. Like in CSGO, players receive two points for a kill and are penalized -1 for dying. Therefore, the simplest stat to look at here is K/D ratio. However, players can also earn fantasy points for planting or defusing bombs (three points each) in Search and Destroy rounds, so there are some players who we can target for other skills besides their ability to kill the opponent.
  2. You need to roster a team slot on both sites. Teams accrue fantasy points for games won (+4), matches won (+10), and Search and Destroy rounds won (+.5).
  3. Teams will be playing best-of-five matches on a rotation of various game modes. Those modes and the order in which they are played are as follows: Hardpoint, Search & Destroy, Control, Hardpoint, Search & Destroy.
  4. In hardpoint rounds, players with positive K/D ratios are usually the highest scorers and these rounds are often the bloodiest.
  5. They also have changed a game mode from Domination to Control for League play. This is going to be a lot different in gameplay as it's round-based and not the first one to 200. They play first one to 3 round wins. You win by capturing both points or killing the enemy team until they run out of their lives. One team defends and the other attacks.
  6. There is a sweep bonus this year as teams and players both can get a 20 point player sweep and a 5 point team sweep. In the chance, they do sweep they also get granted a bonus of 20 points for not playing hardpoint and a bonus of 5 points for not playing the final Search and Destroy map. So that adds up in a sweep to a total of 45 extra points which are going to be very crucial this year.

COD DFS Captain Considerations

Skyz: Skyz in Stage 4 and even the later part of stage 3 has been incredible to watch he has been one of the best players in the league currently. He has just been on another level which explains why his price has skyrocketed since the beginning of the season. So far during Stage 4, Skyz has averaged a 1.40 K/D in Hardpoint, a .90 in SnD, and a 1.28 K/D in Control. Those respawn game averages are absolutely incredible and once again Florida is getting a fantastic matchup against LA Guerrillas who is coming off a horrible loss against Dallas Empire who also hasn't been great in stage 4. This should be a fantastic match for Skyz to drop some big numbers and I plan on being all over it! Skyz has had 105+ DKP in 6 of his last 7 matches including 3 of those being over 140!

Hydra: Hydra has made this team one of the best in the world. Since he joined the team. It has made the biggest difference for NYSL and really has brought together Mack and Asim as they have improved tremendously since the start of Stage 3. Hydra has only 2 matches this season of under 100 DKP. With the fantastic matchup against Dallas, I love Hydra if you can afford him. He has been very consistent with 106+ DKP in 5 of his 7 matches recorded by DK. Since joining the team, Hydra has a 1.26 K/D in Hardpoint, a 1.04 in SnD, and a .97 K/D in Control. Control has been the game mode they have struggled with the most but it has for Dallas as well. This is a great matchup and a great spot for NYSL.

Other captain plays: Cellium, Abezy, Owakening, Mack

COD DFS Value Plays

Havok:  Havok is going to be our best shot at the value on this slate, and I'm honestly surprised to see the majority of Florida players in the value range as Owakening, Neptune, and Havok are all under 8k in a game they are favored. I do recommend picking either Owakening or Neptune over Havok if you have the leftover salary. But in the case that you don't then I can't say Havok is a bad choice. During Stage 4 he has been playing much better which has helped the team come out with more victories so far and almost a close win over NYSL in game 5. During stage 4 so far he has had 98, 91, 93 which are all respectable numbers for his price at 6.6k. He is more than likely going to go negative but if this game sweeps that should help Havok score a bit more.

Asim: I prefer Mack slightly more over Asim, but Asim is cheaper so therefore he makes the Value play. Asim in Stage 4 has been playing very well especially in Control and SnD where he holds a 1.16 K/D and a 1.93 K/D. He has struggled a bit in Hardpoint but when you have Hydra on your team you don't need to do too much in Hardpoint to get the win! He holds a .95 K/D in Hardpoint. So far in Stage 4, he has 108 and 106 DKP in both games, and neither of those was a sweep! He is getting a lot of kills recently and if NYSL can sweep Dallas then we could be looking at another 100+ DKP day. Dallas has been struggling to find a groove recently and was able to come out with a win over LAG but barely beat London and was swept by Toronto. Another sweep could be on the horizon...

Other value plays: Owakening, Neptune, Arcitys(not really value but cheapest ATL player), Kenny(GPP)

COD DFS Stacks

Florida Mutineers: How good has Florida been! They have really turned it up in recent weeks and really have made a run in the standings and are looking to continue their climb with a win here against LA Guerrillas. Florida almost knocked off NYSL but came up short in Game 5 SnD. Both teams made it bloody as every single player had at least 90 kills or more. I really like Florida on this slate, as other than Skyz, everyone is cheaper than 8k! We are getting fantastic value on this team in what should be an easy win for them against the LA Guerrillas who just got wiped by a struggling Dallas team. Skyz is the top option on the slate and you can really mix and match the rest of the players as they fit in your lineup. Owakening and Neptune are your best options and Havok are one of the cheapest players on the slate who can make a big difference!

Atlanta FaZe: Atlanta is once again coming off another sweep! Seattle and Optic back to back with a  3-1 win over Paris in Stage 4. They have won 11 of their last 12 matches and now get an LA Thieves team who looked horrible against Paris and took a big L. This should be once again another big win for Atlanta. They are the No.1 ranked team in the league and should make for quick work. Cellium is probably the best value based on pricing and recent production but now I do like the look of Abezy, he was dropped in price a little bit even though he had a fantastic performance. Simp is now at the top of the board and I firmly believe I can't pay 10.4k for Simp when I can get nearly the same production $600-1k less and use that to help move a value play up the board a bit. Arcitys is now starting to get up there in price as well but he is the cheaper option for Atlanta and is a great pair with Cellium or Abezy.

Other Team Plays: NYSL, Dallas (GPP)

Summary

  1. TLDR: Florida Mutineers 3-0, Atlanta FaZe 3-1, NYSL 3-0
  2. Florida Mutineers: All Players
  3. LA Guerrillas: Assault (At most)
  4. Atlanta FaZe: All Players
  5. LA Thieves: Drazah, Kenny
  6. NYSL: Hydra, Mack, Asim
  7. Dallas: Shotzzy
