Welcome back, RotoBallers! We had another full week of EPL action this week, and the weekend is also jam-packed with EPL games starting with four on Saturday. Three of those games will be on the main slate on FanDuel excluding the Burnley v Arsenal game that starts at 7:30am ET. I have another full breakdown for you all. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Saturday's slate.

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview
Sheffield vs Southampton
Southampton (+110) have torpedoed down the table after a good start to the season a few months ago. However, they have a chance to right the ship and get their first win in nine league games. They are small road favorites against Sheffield - who still sit in last place in the league. Sheffield did just catch their first points in the league in over a month last weekend with a shorthanded win over Aston Villa. If they catch fire, they can maybe save their season. This is not a great game to target for fantasy purposes, but with only three games to choose from, it cannot be completely crossed off the list. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
Aston Villa vs Wolverhampton
Like I just mentioned, Aston Villa (+135) is coming off a 1-0 loss to Sheffield where they played over 30 minutes a man up after Phil Jagielka got sent off. They will be looking to redeem themselves here at home against Wolves. Taking a look at the home/away splits here, you'll see that Aston Villa are a good scoring team at home and Wolves struggle defensively on the road. That should give Villa the advantage in this fixture at home, however, they are still likely without star player Jack Grealish in this one. The goal total over/under is 2.5.
Brighton vs Leicester City
With only two points from four games, Brighton (+155) have now fallen dangerously close to the relegation zone. While they do have a game in hand, they are just three points clear currently and have a tough matchup against Leicester here. Brighton are somehow favored in this game even off two consecutive losses. Leicester at +190 looks awfully intriguing. The goal total over/under is 2.0.
FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders
We have a whole host of out-of-form strikers at the top of the pricing list on this slate and none of them have very enticing matchups to target either.
Danny Ings ($21) might lead the slate in anytime scoring odds at -110, but he has just two league goals in 2021. He is also not getting many shots on goal recently which puts his floor under five fantasy points. The one redeeming factor is that he has a decent matchup against a Sheffield defense that is allowing 1.59 goals per game this year. Sheffield also allow the third-most shots on goal per game in the league and fourth-most chances created. It's smarter salary-wise to save a few bucks and roster James Ward-Prowse ($18) in this matchup. He can take advantage of Sheffield allowing plenty of SOGs and chances better than Ings can. He doesn't have the same kind of goal upside, but he does have five goals this year and +260 goal odds.
Jamie Vardy ($21) is the best goal scorer on the slate, but even he is out of form with just one goal (and several minor injuries) since Christmas. His anytime scoring odds are +130 - which is not very good for him. He also does not have a good matchup on the road against a Brighton defense that has only allowed four goals in their last eight EPL games. Instead, I'll save my money and consider Wilfred Ndidi ($12). He is averaging 20.87 fantasy points over his last six league games. He has just one goal in that span meaning he is producing good fantasy games off peripherals. He is far too cheap for his floor and ceiling in this matchup.
Okay, so Ollie Watkins ($22) is not in terrible form like Ings and Vardy, but he is scoreless in his last four EPL games. For reference, he is +150 to score in this game, and he actually has a decent matchup at home. Wolves defense is allowing 1.64 goals per game in away games, so Watkins definitely has a decent shot at getting back on the scoresheet. Anwar El Ghazi ($16) and Bertrand Traore ($14) are both good mid-tier options who have goal upside in this matchup too.
Southampton's defense has been pretty poor lately which sparks some interest in Sheffield attackers. However, they're the lowest-scoring team in the league with just 16 goals in 27 games. They have just three players who are expected to start in this game who have more than one goal in all competitions this season, and only one of those players - David McGoldrick ($17) - is a regular starter. If you want Sheffield exposure, he has to be the guy. Otherwise, John Fleck ($9) is a decent value play. He has some upside into the low 20s especially in a matchup like this.
Pascal Gross ($16) is the last name I'll mention here. He has been one of my favorite mid-tier plays lately with his floor. He can collect all kinds of peripherals and always has goal/assist upside with his free kick duty.
FanDuel DFS Defenders
There are not many elite defenders plays on this slate either.
Sheffield allow second-most clearances to opposing players, so Jannik Vestergaard ($14) should feast. However, Sheffield don't allow many interceptions, tackles, or blocks. He has a good floor with those clearances and a few other stats, but it's hard to see a ceiling game from him in this matchup.
Leicester and Brighton force the most and second-most defensive stats from opposing teams on the slate, and they happen to be playing against each other this week. There should be plenty of peripherals available for all defenders in this game. Lewis Dunk ($15) costs a little too much for me when you can get Dan Burn ($7) for less than half the price. He definitely doesn't have the same ceiling as Dunk, but he is a smarter dollar-for-dollar play. Ricardo Pereira ($13) is my favorite Leicester defender with his attacking upside, and Caglar Soyuncu ($11) should fare well in this game with his peripherals.
Willy Boly ($12) is the final defender worth mentioning. He has a nice matchup against Aston Villa who force third-most clearances in the league. That is Boly's best defensive stat, and with a few other peripherals, he will have a nice fantasy game.
FanDuel DFS Goalkeepers
There are several viable options for goalkeepers on this slate depending on how you build the rest of your lineup.
Emiliano Martinez ($12) will probably be one of the highest-owned GKs on this slate. He is a home favorite against a Wolves team that has struggled to score on the road all season. They are scoring less than one goal per game this year, and they are still without a timetable for their star striker.
Another option is Aaron Ramsdale ($7). He is the cheapest goalkeeper on the slate - and if you fade Southampton attackers - he makes a ton of sense in a GPP format. He faces a Southampton side that have been shut out in five of their last six EPL away games. Both bonuses are probably still a longshot here for Ramsdale, however, it's a reasonable outcome that he gets one bonus. Plus, he's the cheapest starting keeper on the slate, and that can open up some other options at other positions.
