Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (12/16/20) - FanDuel, DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 12/16/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! The Final Major Tournament of the year is upon us! My name is Koby and I'll be here to help make those tough decisions on who to play and who not to play in your DFS contests!

CS:GO DFS Picks

Best of 3 Series

  • Vitality (-750) vs. Complexity (+400)
  • Astralis (-425) vs. BiG (+280)
  • Heroic (-180) vs. Team Liquid (+135)

Captain Plays:

ZywOo: ZywOo outscored the entire BiG team. He totaled 71 kills and absolutely was demolishing BiG, they just couldn't as a team finish them off. With even one of the maps going into overtime. They get a favorable matchup against Complexity who has struggled in recent weeks losing 3 of their last 5. Vitality is more than likely going to be pretty chalky but with no s1mple on the slate, I'm happy to grab ZywOo at the top of the pricing. He has a 1.44 K/D and is getting .84 kills per round and .58 deaths per round.

The only issue that might present itself is Vitality could finish the game very quickly resulting in a low scoring, but he might be high-owned enough that it won't make too much of a difference. He usually sits around 80% so if you are looking for leverage you could fade ZywOo but it's a very high-risk move.

device: I think this match puts device in a great spot. BiG has been putting up a fight against these big-time teams and if they can force the third map, this is an excellent spot for him to put up a lot of kills and rake in the points. He has a 1.37 K/D and is getting .82 kills per round and .60 deaths per round. He has been putting on an absolute clinic and has gone positive in every game in the last month except for one. His upside is high and if this game does go to three maps expect Device to be one of the highest-scoring players on the slate.

Other captain plays: stavn, dupreeh, NAF(GPP), Cadian, Niko

Value Plays:

RPK: RPK is simply underrated he has been killing it lately. The best thing about RPK too is we don't have to worry about him getting subbed out. Over the last month, he has had a 1.14 K/D and is getting .71 kills per round and .62 deaths per round. I do expect this game to end in a sweep more than likely so RPK we are looking for about 40ish kills and the sweep bonus should be enough to pay off his cheap salary of 9,600 on FD.

TeSeS: For being the 2nd cheapest player for Heroic, he definitely plays better than that. He has gone positive in his last 5 maps and has a 1.10 K/D. He has .70 kills per round and .65 deaths per round. He has the ability to be a top 3 player at any time and the fact that we get him as the 4th best player is valuable to me. He has dropped 50+ kills in multiple games and a couple with 60+. If Heroic comes in and plays to their full ability, TeSeS, cadian, and Stavn could all be looking at high kills and high scoring.

Other Value Plays: gla1ve, cadian, misutaaa (HIGH RISK), XANTARES (GPP), tizian (GPP)

Top Stacks/ Team Picks:

Vitality: Vitality kept it close but came up just short and losing to BiG, they now get a complexity team that looked very poor against Astralis and getting swept quite quickly. The addition of Ottond is a great move but I don't think Complexity has had enough time to practice and play together to connect as the core did before.

Vitality even in the loss looked great with misutaaa having 58 kills, ZywOo with 71 kills, and RPK with 60. Vitality is consistently one of the best teams in the world. It makes it very hard to stack them with all the substitutions they have been having so be aware of that. For right now ZywOo, apEX, and RPK are the only ones that we can pretty much guarantee are getting a full game worth of play.

Heroic: Heroic is a team that can go out and beat up on teams like Vitality and Astralis but also lose to teams like mousesports and GODSENT. They are a tough team to predict but I like the matchup against Team Liquid. Liquid has lost three straight and two of those they were swept. Heroic has a fantastic group they are very balanced and stavn can go off for a ton of kills at any time.

The entire team has K/Ds over 1.0. Cadian and TeSeS are very underrated players on Heroic and are top 3 plays consistently and we get them at a cheaper price as they are cheaper than both stavn and Niko. B0rup can be inconsideration but we don't get much of a discount and would rather play TeSeS or cadian.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: Astralis, BiG(GPP)

Sub-Risks:

Vitality: Nivera, Misutaaa, and shox.

Astralis: Xyp9x, Bubzjki

Complexity: Poizon is out with a medical emergency he will not be playing in this tournament. Ottond is in.

Good luck in your contests, RotoBallers, and make sure to keep stopping back for more CS:GO analysis!
