FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (10/7/20): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

ronald acuna fantasy baseball rankings MLB Injury news DFS lineup picks

Troy Klauder highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 10/7/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

This may be our last slate with four games to choose from in the postseason as the Athletics fight elimination from the Astros today. Regardless of who advances, postseason FanDuel slates are always a blast with the game's stars on center stage.

There are lots of value hitters available as well as multiple teams to consider stacking, which gives us plenty of room to build lineups.

I'll provide you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for the FanDuel main slate on 10/7/2020. Be sure to check out all the MLB player news, including late scratches, and the projected and confirmed daily MLB lineups for each DFS slate. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like DraftKings, and other sports.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Ian Anderson - ATL vs MIA ($9,500)

Anderson has pitched brilliantly since being called up to the majors, with a 2,54 FIP in the regular season and six scoreless innings against the Reds last time out. The Marlins are an extremely weak lineup against righties, with a .298 wOBA this year, so Anderson is in a smash spot against them.

Masahiro Tanaka - NYY vs TAM ($7,500)

Tanaka was roughed up in the Wild Card round but has upside in this start against the Rays. Tampa Bay struck out 26.3% of the time against right-handed pitching this year, which was third-highest in all of baseball and easily the highest mark of the teams left in the bubble. Tanaka was much better away from Yankee Stadium in 2020, with a 2.23 ERA on the road, so he should play well in Dodger Stadium. Tanaka is a value play who could come in at a low rostership with more flashy options on the slate.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Travis d'Arnaud - 1B, ATL vs MIA ($3,000)

d'Arnaud torched righties this year with a 177 wRC+ and a 1.026 OPS. He's batting cleanup in the loaded Braves lineup, which will give him plenty of opportunities for RBI.

Jose Altuve - 2B, HOU vs OAK ($3,300)

Altuve is having an awful season but still has plenty of value batting second for the Astros. Houston has the second-highest implied run total at 4.6, according to Vegas, so Altuve will be in a great spot for counting stats. Altuve is best used as part of a stack against Jesus Luzardo, who had a 4.19 FIP this year and got beat up by the White Sox last round.

Justin Turner - 3B, LAD vs SDP ($3,100)

After Padres starter Chris Paddack got crushed for six runs in 2 1/3 innings against the Cardinals, he is an obvious target tonight for opposing batters. Turner batted .340 against righties and is a perfect play in cash games batting third for the Dodgers with such a high-floor.

Marcus Semien - SS, OAK vs HOU ($2,800)

Semien is yet another example of an affordable hitter batting early in their team's lineup. Astros starter Jose Urquidy had a 2.73 ERA, but his 4.71 FIP suggests that he actually pitched much worse, as indicated by his poor 14.7% K-rate.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Ronald Acuna Jr. - OF, ATL vs MIA ($4,500)

With so many values in the infield, it's worth spending up for a guy like Acuna in the outfield. He's been out of this world, smashing 14 homers with 8 steals during the season and cranking a leadoff home run yesterday. While Acuna is the most expensive position player, he's well worth the payroll.

Giancarlo Stanton - OF, NYY vs TAM ($4,100)

Stanton hit two home runs last night, one of them being an absolute moonshot that was ridiculous by even Stanton's standards. There's nobody with his kind of power upside, so target Stanton in GPP tournaments.

Randy Arozarena - OF, TAM vs NYY ($3,200)

Arozarena is certainly on every fantasy player's radar by now, so he may come as a chalky play at such a reasonable price. However, he's still worth targeting, particularly in cash games, as the Rays three-hole hitter. He already has homers in each game of the ALDS.
