FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/30/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Austyn Varney highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/30/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Welcome to NBA Thursday night. We have just six games on the board with a ton of different options to pay up for. We're looking at Jayson Tatum being questionable and a ton of other injuries to pay attention to. While it may not be the biggest slate we've seen, ownership should be spread out as there doesn't seem to be any consensus value to this point. There is value to pay down for, but we have to get it perfect in tournaments if we want to take down some serious cash.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/30/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kemba Walker - PG, BOS vs. GS ($7,900)

Kemba Walker is very inexpensive over on FanDuel, even after dropping 54+ fantasy points in two of his last three games. With Jayson Tatum likely out once again, Walker will be firing and the matchup doesn't get any better than Golden State. Walker is firing of late and he's hitting at a pretty incredible rate. The Golden State Warriors rank 27th against the point guard position and they play at a top-10 pace. Walker has been over 36 minutes in three straight games and Walker isn't a guy you want to fade when hot. I'm not a huge fan of either expensive point guard, and would much rather get the healthy discount on Kemba Walker in a prime matchup.

Bogdan Bogdanovic - SG, SAC @ LAC ($4,300)

After putting up 35 fantasy points last night, FanDuel has dropped the price on Bogdan Bogdanovic. The Clippers aren't the scariest team against the SG position as Lou Williams mans the position for a lot of the game. Bogdanovic is extremely effective when on the floor and he's going to be on the floor for 34+ minutes here. The Kings replaced Buddy Hield with Bogdanovic in the starting lineup and it's because of his phenomenal ability to both score the ball and facilitate. He's also a great defender and it's the reason I love him in this matchup so much. The Kings will need his 3-point shooting ability and his solid perimeter defense will come into play.

Monte Morris - PG, DEN vs. UTA ($4,400)

Jamal Murray is still out and Monte Morris is an extremely consistent point guard option in turn. Morris has been over 24 fantasy points in four of his last five games and the minutes seem to be locked in around 32-34. Morris does a great job of getting involved enough, but also letting the superstars do their work. The Utah Jazz are a fast-paced offense and they struggle most against point guards. While the return of Mike Conley will bite into that, he's still not seeing a full complement of minutes after returning from injury. The price has slightly risen on FanDuel, but there isn't a ton of value on this slate and there's a good shot Morris gets around 30 FP once again.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Tobias Harris - SF, PHI @ ATL ($6,900)

Harris is affordable on FanDuel and the matchup with Atlanta is a great one. Even with Joel Embiid back in the mix, Harris is going to see 34+ minutes and he's always going to shoot his 12-15 shots. The addition of Joel Embiid into the lineup doesn't do much for Harris minutes-wise, and the match-up with Atlanta doesn't get much better. For under $7k at a rather weak position, Harris is a lock for value. This game is currently sitting at a 228 total and Philly is favored by 7.5 points. Harris is hard to get away from in any format.

Serge Ibaka - PF, TOR @ CLE ($5,600)

Ibaka hasn't gotten very consistent minutes of late, but his production has been beyond solid. He's eclipsed 33 fantasy points in three of the last four games and is doing so as he has complete freedom with the backup unit. There is also a chance Ibaka sees extended run here and he would be a must-own in that case. For under $6k on FanDuel, you don't have much opportunity cost as his downside is likely around 25 fantasy points. The matchup with the Cavaliers is an elite one, as they rank 27th against the PF position and Ibaka matches up well with Love and Nance. I'm not a huge fan of the position and Ibaka fits nicely.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, PHI @ ATL ($9,000)

Embiid is only $9k on FanDuel and he'll likely end up seeing around 26-28 minutes in this game. The Atlanta Hawks are one of the best possible matchups for Embiid and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get into the 45-FP area. With Alex Len out, it'll be John Collins that draws Embiid defensively. He has no chance of slowing him down in the paint and Embiid should walk into a double-double here. He's cheaper than guys like Bradley Beal and Ben Simmons, so 45-50 fantasy points would be more than enough.

Thomas Bryant - C, WAS vs. CHA ($4,400)

Thomas Bryant got up to 31 minutes in his last game and it certainly seems like he's back to full health. With the reigns off of Bryant, he should be around $6500. Bryant put up 43 fantasy points against the Bucks and he'll likely draw huge ownership in turn. The Charlotte Hornets are quite terrible against the Center position, ranking 23rd in basketball. The Hornets don't necessarily play fast, but they don't have any interior presence and Cody Zeller is the farthest thing from intimidating. Bryant is going to end up over 40% owned and I love the chalk in cash games.
