DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/8/18): NBA DFS Lineups

Happy Thursday, everyone. The association features a five-game slate with some pretty questionable matchups. Both Golden State and OKC have relatively easy games and are expected to win their respective contests by at least 10, making things tricky as they may opt to rest their core players down the stretch. Charlotte is also expected to win out over Brooklyn, but only by seven, making many of the Hornets’ players a popular add to many DFS rosters, especially since the Nets have one of the worst defenses in the league. Boston/Minnesota and Philly/Miami are both anticipated to be close, but these games aren't expected to be as high-scoring and fast-paced as the other aforementioned contests. Nonetheless, I will try my best to make some sense out of all of this, especially for those who are involved in tournament play.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/8/18.These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on DraftKings. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for FanDuel, and other sports too.

Let me know how well I did, or didn't do. Give me a follow on @Den_Clausen and say hello. Good luck!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Kemba Walker - PG, vs. BKN ($8,700)

As I stated in the intro, many of the DFS lineups on Thursday night will be built around several of Charlotte’s key stars, and of course everything begins and ends for the Hornets with Kemba Walker. Walker has played well as of late, averaging 23.4 points over the last five contests. He dumped 31 points on Brooklyn a few weeks ago, and it is not unlikely for something similar to happen again as the Nets don’t really have anyone in the backcourt who is capable of slowing him down.

Kyrie Irving - PG, @ MIN ($8,000)

Irving stated that he will be good to go for Thursday’s showdown with the Wolves, but of course, check his status prior to opening tip as many of you know, things can change in an instant as it relates to player injuries in the association. Head coach Brad Stevens had indicated that Irving’s rest period for his knee ailment was projected to last about a week. However, he appears good to go and without any mention of a minutes restriction and as a result, Irving could find himself easily surpassing his value, especially in a prime time matchup on national TV. I’m not a fan of this game’s slow pace, but I am a fan of Irving’s $8,000 price tag.

Other DrafKings DFS Guards to Consider: Nicolas Batum, Goran Dragic, Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Spencer DinWidde, Ben Simmons

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Paul George - SF/PF vs. PHO ($8,600)

George will be going up against one of the worst defenses in the league on Thursday night and fantasy owners have an opportunity to capitalize on a guy who could find himself outscoring Kevin Durant, who has a tougher matchup and costs a little more to own. George struggled a bit against Houston, shooting only 7-for-16 from the field as well as 2-for-8 from behind the arc, but there is a strong chance that he finishes the night out against Phoenix with a fantasy points total in the 40’s.

Justise Winslow - SF/PF vs. PHI ($4,500)

Winslow has found his groove lately after a few disappoint games a few weeks ago, hitting at least 25 fantasy points in five out of his last six games and despite coming off the bench, he is seeing more minutes that some of the starters throughout the league. If you are in need of someone capable of producing some solid fantasy points while saving some cash for the big guns, he is your guy.

Other DraftKings DFS Forwards to Consider: Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, DeMarre Carroll, Caris LeVert, Davis Bertans

DraftKings DFS Centers

Dwight Howard - C, vs. BKN ($8,300)

If you are having trouble justifying paying up for the services of Joel Embiid and Karl-Anthony Towns, Howard has a good matchup against probably the worst interior defense in the league. Despite a recent cold spell in the last few games, he put on a good showing against the Sixers in his last outing, scoring 30 points in that one. With the Nets giving up 26.3 points and 18 boards per game against the five spot, Howard could be in store for a solid night. However, just like Kemba Walker, he will also be a popular addition to rosters and as a result, you may want to fade him all together.

Other DraftKings DFS Centers to Consider: Steven Adams
