FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/10/18): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

As usual, we follow up a slow Tuesday slate with a very busy Wednesday. There are a number of teams on back-to-backs which makes things interesting as well as a number of important injuries to follow up on throughout the day. I will hit on most of them throughout the article, but stay locked in to our news desk to get all the updates.

As far as building lineups, Giannis is locked and loaded as the number one option on the slate. I'm not inspired by the slate of centers, but Nikola Jokic stands out. That said, those two will likely be the centerpieces of my lineup come time for lock. Given their high-price tag, we'll need to find some values elsewhere on the slate. Let's get to it.

Below you will find our daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/10/18. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options, to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Jawun Evans - PG @GSW ($4,700)

Someone has to shoot and attempt to score on Wednesday as the Clippers take on the Warriors. The way things look right now, there won’t be a ton of available bodies to do so as Blake Griffin will remain out as will Austin Rivers and Danilo Gallinari. Milos Teodosic is the big question mark as he is listed as questionable. If he is able to play, Evans is still viable. However, if he is out, Evans becomes a must-play option as he showed on Monday when he played 39 minutes against the Hawks and put up 43 FD points. Don’t expect 9X again, but with 35 minutes he should approach between 6X and 7X value making him a cheap tournament option.

Jarrett Jack - PG vs. CHI ($4,500)

Frank Nkilitina has gotten a lot of publicity of late thanks his already strong defense, but Jack has maintained a 25 minute role. When put in the right spot, he has also shown that he is a nice cash game option frequently getting to value and then some. Guards have been able to perform against the Bulls on the season, most recent being the Rockets duo of Chris Paul and Eric Gordon. For more reasonable expectations, Dennis Smith Jr. and J.J. Barea put up 31.9 and 28.9 FD points respectively against the Bulls on Friday.

Caris LeVert - SG vs. DET ($6,000)

Prior to his groin injury, Caris LeVert was putting up big fantasy lines and showing he was capable of doing more than just score. He returned on Monday against the Raptors and shook off some rust in 26 minutes, shooting just 2-of-13 from the field. Given that LeVert has shown the ability to blow past 30 FD points before, his return and price tag alone is enough to make him a viable play. However, to add to that, the Nets will be without DeMarre Carroll and likely Allen Crabbe as well. That leaves a less cluttered wing rotation for LeVert to deal with, and makes him a strong mid-priced option on the slate.

Malcolm Brogdon - SG vs. ORL ($5,600)

Brogdon has been the definition of consistency despite Jason Kidd constantly changing his role as he has failed to reach 20 FD points in just four of his past 19 games. While there also isn’t a ton of ceiling for him, he is a nice cash game option against an Orlando team that normally struggles to defend. Tonight, they will be on the back-end of a back-to-back with overnight travel from Dallas to Milwaukee, making Brogdon a very safe bet.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Gerald Green - SF vs. POR ($4,500)

Green has been a spark plug on offense for the Rockets and given his low price, he is almost automatically in tournament consideration. The line for this game isn’t out yet, but the Rockets should be able to control the pace of the game considering they are at home and the Blazers are also on the back end of a back-to-back. That should benefit Green and could put him in a good spot to go off. Use him in tournaments.

Tobias Harris - PF @BKN ($6,700)

After coming out of the gates hot to start the season, Harris started to take a back seat in the offense to the likes of Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson. However, with Jackson out of the lineup and Drummond slowed by a rib injury, Harris has taken a larger role in the offense once again. On Tuesday, he’ll have an all around positive game context as the Nets are porous guarding wings. Harris should have a matchup against Rondae Hollis-Jefferson who has posted a 107.3 defensive rating this season. Importantly, the Pistons may also be in a pace up game as they travel to Brooklyn as the Nets are a top-five team in terms of pace.

Also Consider: Draymond Green - PF vs. LAC ($4,500), Giannis Antetokounmpo - SF vs. ORL ($11,700)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Kyle O'Quinn - C vs. CHI ($4,600)

Michael Beasley’s injury has opened up a few more minutes for Kyle O’Quinn and he took full advantage on Sunday. Assuming Beasley remains out, O’Quinn will emerge as a nice value play as he has been very productive on a per minute basis. There’s not a lot to love at the center position on Wednesday’s slate, so if Beasley doesn't play (or you don't feel comfortable with O'Quinn) I will be paying all the up way to Nikola Jokic.
