After a fun Tuesday slate, we're back for another solid slate on Wednesday as there are nine games on the main slate. As usual, it will be important to follow injury news throughout the day, but unlike Tuesday's slate there is some clarity on plays well in advance of lock.
There are plenty of revenge narratives on the slate, as Paul George and Victor Oladipo return to their former teams. They should be popular plays, as will Boogie cousins. To start my lineups however, I'm going to get James Harden and Giannis Antetokounmpo locked in and then find value from there.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/13/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel.
DFS Guards to Consider
Milos Teodosic - PG, @ORL ($4,500)
Teodosic made his much anticipated return on Monday against the Raptors and showed his potential to stuff the stat sheet. While his line doesn’t look that impressive on its face, it was actually quite encouraging as he grabbed seven boards but was unable to record any assists. This goes against what Teodosic is known for, so with the rest of the stat line there it is worth banking on his assists coming back. With a price tag of just $4,500 and going against one of the most porous defenses in the league, Teodosic is a great value.
Eric Bledsoe- PG @NO ($6,900)
Bledsoe hasn’t frequently been able to pay off value with this kind of price tag, but he has also shown that when the spot is right, he can take over a game with Giannis. The most recent example of that came just five days ago in a matchup against Dallas, when he put an excellent 48.8 FD points. Tonight sets up to be a matchup he can take advantage of, and he has tournament upside but also cash game safety.
Donovan Mitchell- SG, @CHI ($7,600)
Mitchell has an impressive 33% usage rate in December, which has helped him post very strong fantasy lines. That usage will likely take some hit with the return of Rodney Hood, but that shouldn’t slow him too much. Moving forward, this price will likely scare me away from, rostering him, but tonight’s matchup against the Bulls negates the price. Mitchell is best fit for cash games.
Also Consider: Kyle Lowry - PG, @PHO ($8,000), Kyrie Irving - PG, vs. DEN ($8,100)
DFS Forwards to Consider
Serge Ibaka - PF, @PHO ($5,800)
Ibaka’s price really doesn’t make much sense on tonight’s slate as he has returned value on this price tag for five consecutive games. His price tag is slowly on the rise, but he draws a matchup against the Suns tonight, which keeps him in range as a strong play. Eight days ago he dropped 39.7 FD points against them, and while he may not replicate that performance, he is safe bet to return value for the sixth straight game.
Josh Richardson - SF, vs. POR ($4,700)
Unlike a few of the other plays on this slate, Richardson is a tournament option rather than cash thanks to his inconsistency. However, he becomes a nice option after jamming in Harden and Giannis as he has shown the ability to go 6X his price tag. Portland’s season long numbers indicate they are kind to opposing small forwards and their recent history backs that up as Trevor Ariza and Kelly Oubre recently put up 27 and 33.4 points against them respectively
Daniel Theis - PF, vs. DEN ($3,500)
Al Horford has been ruled out of Wednesday’s action, and everyone will likely look to Aron Baynes. However, going on the two games that Horford missed earlier in the season, Daniel Theis is the preferable option. He saw 22 and 17 minutes respectively in those contests, but managed to put up 27 FD points in the first of those games.At the bare minimum price, Theis is someone to turn to as a salary saver.
DFS Centers to Consider
Zach Collins - C, @MIA ($4,000)
We don’t have official word on Jusuf Nurkic but recent news hasn’t made it appear as if his return was imminent. While Meyers Leonard has been the starter in name in his absence, Collins has produced at a superior level. Importantly. He has proven worthy defensively, as he posted three steals and three blocks respectively in the two game span.
