Yahoo Lineup Picks (Week 7) - NFL DFS Advice

Hey there RotoBallers! Hopefully you locked Larry Fitzgerald and Melvin Gordon into those Week 6 lineups and didn't stack Aaron Rodgers with any of his pass catchers.

In this article, I will be taking a look at some of my favorite Yahoo DFS lineups picks for the Week 7 slate. These DFS picks are based on a multitude of factors including matchup, talent, recent performance, Vegas odds, and pricing on Yahoo.

Generally, I will try to outline a top option at each position along with a value option with a chance to at least hit value. Let's get to it!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Quarterback Picks for Yahoo DFS

Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles vs. WAS, $30

Wentz is enjoying a huge breakout in his sophomore campaign. The Philadelphia quarterback has been at the top of his game this year, passing for 1,584 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just three interceptions in six games played. He's also been sneaky good on the ground, picking up 133 rushing yards this season. Wentz will look to keep it going in Week 7 in a home matchup against a Washington defense that could be without star cornerback Josh Norman. Washington has been a middle of the road defense against quarterbacks this season, allowing the 15th-most fantasy points to the position and ranking 10th in pass defense DVOA. Of course, their defense takes a hit if Norman doesn't suit up. Wentz is a solid play in cash and GPPs this weekend.

Brett Hundley, Green Bay Packers vs. NO, $20

Hundley is this week's free square quarterback. The third-year passer checks in at just $20, the minimum salary for a quarterback on Yahoo. While we haven't seen much of Hundley in the NFL, we know he has 4.63 speed, which makes him threat to rack up yardage on the ground. We also know he has plenty of weapons to utilize in the Green Bay offense, including Davante Adams and Jordy Nelson. The Saints have shown improvement against the pass this season but they are still allowing the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Playing Hundley in cash games opens up plenty of salary elsewhere which you can use to stock up on studs.

Running Back Picks for Yahoo DFS

Melvin Gordon, Los Angeles Chargers vs. DEN, $24

Apparently, someone at Yahoo doesn't care much for Gordon. The third-year running back has now posted two straight 31-point games. He draws a rematch against a Broncos run defense that held him to 54 scoreless yards in Week 1 but showed some cracks in Week 6 against the Giants. The Broncos are fresh off of coughing up 117 rushing yards to Orleans Darkwa in Week 6. Gordon continues to have weekly RB1 upside while being severely underpriced over on Yahoo. He's a strong play yet again this week.

Mark Ingram, New Orleans Saints @ GB, $20

Ingram exploded for 114 yards and two scores in Week 6 while adding five catches for 36 yards. With Adrian Peterson no longer in town, Ingram should continue to see the bulk of the early down work for the Saints. Unlike many early down runners, however, Ingram has chops in the passing game as well, which keeps his weekly floor high. The Packers run defense has been below-average this season, ranking 18th in DVOA. Without Aaron Rodgers, this game has the potential to be less of a shootout and a more run-oriented tilt on Sunday.

Wide Receiver Picks for Yahoo DFS

Michael Thomas, New Orleans Saints @ GB, $23

Thomas' price is depressed after a slow Week 6 against the Lions which saw him catch just 3-of-6 targets for 11 yards. Part of Thomas' slow outing can be attributed to drawing coverage from top Detroit cornerback Darius Slay and part of it can be blamed on New Orleans' success in the running game. Either way, Thomas is too good of a wide receiver to be priced at just $23 on Yahoo. He's expected to run most of his routes at Packers right cornerback Davon House, who has just a 50.2 grade from Pro Football Focus.

Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings vs. BAL, $16

Thielen delivered in Week 6 against the Packers, catching 9-of-13 targets for 96 yards. Both the targets and the catches both either tied or set season highs for Thielen, who saw a larger target share with Stefon Diggs sidelined. It looks unlikely that Diggs will play again this week as he did not practice on Wednesday and told the media on Thursday that his status is "up in the air." The Ravens have been tough on opposing passing games but Thielen runs most of his routes out of the slot, meaning he will see plenty of Ladarius Webb, who has been the Ravens' weakest cornerback to date.

Tight End Picks for Yahoo DFS

Jimmy Graham, Seattle Seahawks @ NYG, $22

As has been the case all season, play your tight ends against the Giants. The Giants are allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends this season, including allowing at least one score to a tight end in each of their six games played. While Graham hasn't shown it this season, he still has multi-touchdown upside whenever he takes the field. This should be a week that Russell Wilson chooses to lean on him as the Giants have an excellent secondary which should shut down Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin.

George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers vs. DAL, $11

Kittle has been busy over the past two weeks, garnering 17 targets and turning those into 11 catches for 129 yards and a score. On the year he leads the 49ers with nine red zone targets and in a fun #narrative he gets to reunite with C.J. Beathard, his college quarterback at Iowa. The rookies will look to carry the chemistry they showed together in college over to the NFL against the Cowboys. Dallas has struggled against tight ends this season, ranking just 29th in DVOA against the position this year.

Defense/Special Teams Pick for Yahoo DFS

Los Angeles Chargers vs. DEN, $11

The Chargers are in a good spot in Week 7 and set up as one of the top value defenses on the slate. They will welcome the Broncos to Los Angeles in a "home" game (that is still weird to say) in a game with a relatively low 40-point over/under. While the Chargers have struggled against the run this season, their pass rush has been fierce. Los Angeles has notched at least four sacks in three of their six games played this season, including a four-sack performance in Week 1 against Denver. The Broncos also head into this game a bit banged up with Emmanuel Sanders out and Trevor Siemian playing through a dinged up shoulder.
