Pitchers to Use
Since the All Star break, Kyle Gibson has posted a luck neutral 3.19 ERA over 48 innings. He's induced 7.13 K/9 and 2.06 BB/9. Gibson's last four outings have lasted at least six innings - all of which were quality starts. He has a soft matchup against the Padres tomorrow.
Garrett Richards only lasted 3.1 innings in his return from the disabled list, but that was to be expected. Richards' fastball was humming a hair under 96 mph. He has a shot to reach five innings pitched tomorrow versus the Astros. The Houston offense is worrisome. I'd feel better about this matchup if Richards was fully healthy. Then again, he wouldn't be freely available if he was healthy.

Pitchers to Exploit
Joe Biagini does a lot of things right. He induces strikeouts despite a pitch-to-contact, ground ball profile. He has one fatal flaw, and it may prevent him from ever being a useful starting pitcher - he can't hold base runners. His stats are far worse when pitching out of the stretch. It could be a small sample blip, but this smells real to me.

Homers on the Wire
Austin Jackson bats second for the Indians when they face left-handed pitching. He's slashing a robust .339/.419/.578 with four home runs in 124 plate appearances. While the power is hardly awe inspiring, the overall profile is extremely valuable versus Boyd and the Tigers bullpen.
Despite mediocre peripherals, Lance Lynn has posted a 2.94 ERA in 29 starts. He's also run into occasional issues with home runs (1.26 HR/9). For that reason, you may wish to consider 30 home run threat Scott Schebler.

Steals on the Wire
Gerrit Cole has improved considerably with runners on base, but you can bet opposing players are still looking for opportunities to run. Keon Broxton and Hernan Perez are the best combination of fast and available.

If you picked up Yan Gomes for today, hang onto him for tomorrow. Boyd got bumped to Tuesday. Versus southpaws, Gomes is a .255/.348/.510 hitter with seven home runs in 113 plate appearances.
