Yahoo MLB DFS Advice (4/18/17): Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks

Happy  Tuesday morning, afternoon or whenever you happen to be reading this. In any case there is a full slate of games on Tuesday. That's a total of 15 games on the slate as the whole league is in action.  Yahoo has some great value options to choose from for DFS games so let's get down to business (because, as usual, it's business time).

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Yahoo on 4/18/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on Yahoo.

You can read our FanDuel and DraftKings DFS lineup picks as well. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @justinrklein.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on Yahoo

Baltimore Orioles vs RHP Bronson Arroyo. Especially lefties, because over his long career Arroyo has allowed LHH a triple slash of .282/.338/.484. This means that all of the southpaws on the Orioles are in play as well as some reverse platoon split RHH's as well.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on Yahoo

Michael Fulmer at MIN ($44)

Fulmer has not been at his best this season yet he's still managed a solid 37 FPPG. Although he's been prone to get himself into some early trouble he has done well to get out of it in both starts thus far this season. I wish that I could pay up for Scherzer or Darvish, but instead I'm stuck with the mid-priced Fulmer. I'll take it though, because it will allow me to pay up for some fantastic bats.

Luis Severino vs CWS ($32)

Severino was fantastic in his last outing as he struck out 11 batters and he now has 17 K's in just 12 IP this season. Moderately priced on Tuesday I like Luis to post solid numbers with a good amount of K's. After the White Sox were beaten solidly for the Yankee's eighth win on Monday it's easy to forecast them another one with Severino taking the bump on Tuesday evening. It's also easy to see why the Yankees are solid favorites on Tuesday.

DFS Infielders to Consider on Yahoo

Catcher (C) - JT Realmuto at SEA ($12)

Realmuto has been a force this season as he's second among all regularly starting catchers with an impressive 7.8 FPPG thus far. Priced at $19 he's expensive but I just can't help myself. On Tuesday he'll face Mariners RHP Yovani Gallardo. It's a tiny sample size thus far this season, but JT has managed nine hits in 17 at bats against RHP this season and a third of those hits have gone for extra bases. On the road against RHP JT is hitting.529 with a .353 ISO. Those numbers are certainly not going to last, but it doesn't hurt to ride him while he's red hot.

First Base (1B) -  Lucas Duda vs PHI ($14)

In his career Duda has notched a solid .358 OBP and a .477 SLG with a .224 ISO against RHP. Although he's been much better against LHP this season I believe it's just a tiny sample size oddity and that it will even out. Against Phillies RHP Zach Efflin I expect a big day, as Duda's home numbers are even better than on the road. At home against RHP the Duda abides with an ISO of .238.

Second Base (2B) - Ben Zobrist vs MIL ($16)

In his career against Jimmy Nelson, the pitcher that he'll face on Tuesday night, Zorilla has notched four hits in 12 at bats with a HR and five walks. That's good for an OBP of .556. I know it's a tiny sample, but I expect more of the same on Tuesday. Ben is moderately priced with a solid floor and a fairly high upside that I simply can't ignore.

Shortstop (SS) -  Aledmys Diaz vs MIN ($18)

Diaz is a rare breed in that he's a right handed hitter that is at his best against a right handed pitcher. In his young career he's manged to post a healthy .307/.372/.553 triple slash with a .245 ISO against fellow northpaws. On Tuesday night he'll face the Buccos' Chad Kuhl at home at Busch Stadium.

Third Base (3B) - Danny Valencia - vs MIA ($8)

Valencia is facing Wei-Yin Chen on Tuesday at home at Safeco Field. Chen is a LHP and you should know what that means by now in the DFS. If not I'll kindly explain. In his career against LHP Danny has mashed LHP to the tune of a .320/.373/.498 triple slash and a .178 ISO. At home against LHP those numbers go up to .339/.386/.518 with an ISO of .179. At any price Valencia is a good play, but at a low price he is a great play, so join me and get him into all of your lineups.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on Yahoo

Nelson Cruz vs MIA ($20) - Nelson Cruz will join Danny Valencia in the quest to destroy LHP on Tuesday as his platoon splits should be well known to even the most inexperienced of DFS players. In his his career Nelson has laughed his way to a .299/.375/.561 triple slash with a .262 ISO. That's a number that's more fit to be an area code then an ISO for a 36 year old outfielder. At home vs LHP those numbers go up to a silly good .326/.393/.598 with an ISO of .273. Yowza!

Ryan Braun at CHI ($20) - Ryan Braun faces the LHP Brett Anderson at Wrigley field on Tuesday and that basically makes him an auto play. If you thought Nelson Cruz was a slam dunk DFS play than Ryan Braun is a windmill jam from the free throw line. In his career he's embarrassed southpaws to the tune of a .336/405/.625 triple slash with a .289 ISO. Oh, and in his career at Wrigley Field (over 66 games played and no this is not even counting his HR tonight) Brauny has posted an incredible .342/.359/.583 triple slash line. When it comes to platoon splits it doesn't get much more obvious than this.
