DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (6/8/16): MLB DFS Advice

What better way to celebrate the middle of the week than by participating in some afternoon fantasy baseball contests? There are four afternoon games scheduled, along with the normal full slate in the evening, meaning that DraftKings will have several different contests to participate in.

There's once again a mix of both stud and sleeper picks as far as offense goes. On the mound, aces Max Scherzer and Noah Syndergaard will both be on the mound. The last game of the evening features a very intriguing pitching matchup in San Francisco between David Price and Madison Bumgarner.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/8/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Alfredo Simon (RHP)

The Cardinals should be ready to tee off on Alfredo Simon today considering the fact that he's been torched by opposing hitters all season. He's got an ERA of 8.94 and has given up 12 home runs, including three in his last outing. Left-handed hitters have a .370 average against him this season, meaning that guys like Matt Carpenter, Matt Adams, Brandon Moss, and Jeremy Hazelbaker all make for good options as part of a lineup stack.

Washington Nationals vs. James Shields  (RHP)

Despite the change to the American League, Shields will make his first start with his new team against a squad from the National League. The Nationals face a favorable matchup against Shields today. Current Washington batters have a combined lifetime .333 average against him, with Wilson Ramos and Anthony Rendon both leading the way with .500 averages. Lefties Bryce Harper and Daniel Murphy should definitely be in play today as part of a lineup stack.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Yu Darvish, TEX vs. HOU - $11,000

Darvish has had a successful return to action this season, looking very sharp in his two starts. He's picked up two wins and has an ERA of 3.38 with 12 strikeouts and just two walks. He is also yet to give up a long ball. The Astros rank near the bottom of the league in team batting average and current Houston hitters have had just moderate success against Darvish in the past. Roll with him as a great option Wednesday.

Chris Tillman, BAL vs. KC - $7,600

Despite getting shelled for eight hits and five runs in his last start, Tillman is worth using on DraftKings today. Although he's struggled in his last two starts, he still picked up a win on May 29 after giving up four earned runs. The Orioles provide their pitchers with some of the best run support in the league, so he's a good bet to pick up a win. With a record of 7-1 and an ERA of 3.33, Tillman is having a fine season in Baltimore. Throw in the fact that current Kansas City hitters have a combined lifetime average of .269 against, along with his 5-0 record at Camden Yards this season, and Tillman makes for a solid selection.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

Stephen Vogt, OAK at MIL - $3,900

Vogt's production has steadily risen over the past week, and therefore, so has his price. Although he's not as good of a value pick as he was, he still makes for a solid selection behind the plate. Vogt has hit over .300 against right-handers this season, making his matchup with righty Chase Anderson a favorable one.

First Base (1B)

Wil Myers, SD vs. ATL - $4,400

Myers has been on a tear lately and has turned into a very good producer of fantasy points. He gets to go up against a struggling Julio Teheran today and will look to stay hot. Myers isn't cheap, but he'll save you a bit of cap space over some of the top choices without giving up much in terms of production.

Second Base (2B)

Yangervis Solarte, SD vs. ATL - $3,200

Yes, two San Diego Padres are worth picking tonight, due both to a favorable matchup and recent production. Solarte is priced well-below most of the second basemen available, yet he's averaging nine fantasy points per game on DraftKings. He's hitting over .300 for the season and hits in the middle of San Diego's lineup. Solarte is easily overlooked, so don't make that mistake today.

Shortstop (SS)

Aledmys Diaz, STL at CIN - $4,400

Diaz has settled into the No. 2 spot in the St. Louis lineup and he's thrived. His price has increased, but he's producing over eight fantasy points a game, and that's a number you'll take on a nightly basis. He's got moderate power but hits for a high average and gets ample opportunities to score runs. The struggles of Alfredo Simon were already documented, so you'll hardly go wrong using a Cardinal today.

Third Base (3B)

Jose Ramirez, CLE at SEA - $3,300

The versatile 23-year-old could slot into your lineup at either third base or outfield, making him an even more valuable daily fantasy asset. He's shown a keen ability to get on base and even has a knack for picking up multiple hits in a game. He recently strung together four multi-hit games in a row. The switch-hitter has been much better from the left side of the plate, and that's where he will be hitting from todayagainst Taijuan Walker.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Hyun Soo Kim, BAL vs. KC - $3,500

Kim is showing that he should have been in the starting lineup from the start of the season. He's been an on-base machine and is hitting near .400 for the season. He had another multi-hit game last night, giving him three in the last six games. The Orioles have a loaded lineup, and Kim has settled into the very productive second spot.

Brandon Moss, STL at CIN - $4,100

After sitting out Tuesday night, Moss should find himself in the lineup today versus the righty Alfredo Simon. Moss has the potential to put up huge numbers in daily fantasy baseball -- having scored double-digit points twice in his last three games, including racking up 27 points in his last game. The .234 average is low, but with 11 homers, the power is there for Moss. Consider him a nice sleeper choice today.

David Peralta, ARI vs. TB - $3,500

Peralta got the night off against a lefty last night, but should be back in the lineup today against the right-handed Jake Odorizzi. Peralta has hit .298 against righties this season and enters today with two multi-hit games in his last four and two double-digit fantasy performances in the last four contests. Fresh of a 17-point performance Monday, Peralta is a fine play today.
