DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (5/11/16): MLB DFS Advice

Demetri Raftopoulos highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 5/11/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your DraftKings MLB DFS lineups.

May is here, and a ton of players are heating up alongside the weather. It's of course important to focus on hitters that have been hot of late, but also those that have had success against their opposing starter in the past.

It's always wise to spend up at pitcher, as wins are so important for scoring in Daily Fantasy. But if you can save a ton of money on a cheaper pitcher, then why not? Especially if that pitcher has a favorable matchup against a weak offense.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for DraftKings on 5/11/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on DraftKings.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target on DraftKings

Baltimore Orioles versus Phil Hughes - Seven different Orioles on the current roster have taken Phil Hughes deep. The O's have accumulated a ton of experience against him during his days on the New York Yankees, and will throw together a stacked lineup against him tonight. My favorite options here are Manny Machado, Chris Davis, and Adam Jones. You'll learn why below.

Arizona Diamondbacks versus Chad Bettis - The Diamondbacks have also been somewhat home run happy against their opposing pitcher Wednesday. Four different Diamondbacks players have gone yard versus Bettis. The game is also in Colorado where it is more likely for balls to fly out of the park at a frequent rate. The most runs have been scored at Coors Field out of any other stadium so far this season. Consider Paul Goldschmidt (4-12, HR, 2 RBI, 2 2B), Jean Segura (2-5, HR), and the recently returning Yasmany Thomas (3-5, RBI).

Also consider Miami Marlins versus Chase Anderson

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider on DraftKings

Kyle Hendricks (vs SD, $9,000)

The San Diego Padres have only tallied four hits in 46 AB against Kyle Hendricks. He's post four quality starts in five appearances, and has one of the best lineups in the league backing him up.

Jaime Garcia (at LAA, $8,900)

Garcia is coming off one of his best showings of the season, pitching seven innings of scoreless baseball against the Philadelphia Phillies. He collects his fair share of strikeouts and has faired very well against the Los Angeles Angels in his career. The Angles are batting .182 in 22 AB with only one ribbie against Garcia.

Also consider Tyler Wilson (at MIN, $4,800) for a ton of salary relief.

DFS Infielders to Consider on DraftKings

Catcher (C)

J.T. Realmuto (vs MIL, $3,200)

It's always tempting to draft a catcher that can hit a home run and steal a base in the same game. It also helps that Realmuto has been hitting a lot better of late, after his struggles to start the season. Realmuto finished April with a .292 average and is now batting .333 in the month of May. He's affordable and should be considered in all formats.

First Base (1B)

Chris Davis (at MIN, $4,400)

Chris Davis has hit eight home runs so far this season, seven of which have come off of righties. Davis has struck out 10 times against Phil Hughes, but has taken him deep in his career as well. Davis is the first part of a solid Baltimore stack for Wednesday.

Second Base (2B)

Daniel Murphy (vs DET, $4,500)

It's hard to fade a guy that's batting .398 over 123 AB. He's having an incredibly hot month so far, batting .459 including 3 HR and 9 RBI with 20 days left in May. Murphy has also picked up 20 hits in 61 AB against Jordan Zimmerman in his career. He's also taken him deep four times, with nine RBI and five doubles.

Shortstop (SS)

Troy Tulowitzki (at SF, $2,900)

Tulowitzki is really struggling to start the season, batting only .172. The production is there with his six home runs and 14 ribbies, but owners have certainly been waiting for consistency out of the shortstop. Luckily for Tulowitzki and those looking to draft him, he's had much success against Madison Bumgarner in his career. Tulo has 11 hits in 29 AB, with two homers and five ribbies versus the former World Series MVP.

Third Base (3B)

Manny Machado (at MIN, $5,000)

When there is a Baltimore Orioles stack, Manny Machado should certainly be involved. Machado leads the American League with 24 extra base hits. Even better, he's 10-19 versus Phil Hughes with two homers and three ribbies.

DFS Outfielders to Consider on DraftKings

Adam Jones (at MIN, $3,600)

Jones is only batting .176 against Hughes in his career, but has faced him 51 times. He has struggled to get going this season but will look to get going Wednesday. He's taken Hughes deep three times, and has collected eight ribbies.

Yasmany Tomas (at COL, $3,900)

Tomas returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing four games with a stiff neck. Tomas has had a productive start to the 2016 season, and has three hits in five AB versus Chad Bettis in his career. Tomas came onto the scene last season with his nine home runs and 48 RBI in 118 games played. He's already on pace to exceed both as he's hit five dingers and has driven in 13 runs so far.

Marcell Ozuna (vs MIL, $3,900)

Ozuna continues his hot hitting, picking up three more hits Tuesday night. He's an affordable option, and a part of another solid stack for today's slate. Ozuna enters Wednesday on a 10 game hitting streak. It's clear that Don Mattingly and Barry Bonds have certainly had an impact on his swing early on in the season.

Also consider Giancarlo Stanton (vs MIL, $5,100) and Charlie Blackmon (vs ARI, $4,500)
