Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Emanuel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson rushed for 52 yards on 14 carries in his team's 17-14 loss to the Denver Broncos on the road. He failed to bring in his lone target. Wilson was riding a two-game touchdown streak into Week 6, but couldn't come through again for fantasy managers in what was a mostly slow start for the Seahawks.
The fourth-year pro again led Seattle in carries, but was the least efficient of his backfield mates, notching another outing with fewer than four yards per carry. With teammate Zach Charbonnet's (knee) return nearing, Wilson's time as Seattle's unquestioned lead back will likely be short. While Charbonnet should have a ramp-up period, fantasy managers must monitor the situation ahead of a Week 7 matchup against a stalwart Kansas City Chiefs rush defense.
Jordan Mason, Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Jordan Mason (thumb) is still on Injured Reserve, but he managed to put in a full practice on Wednesday. Mason underwent surgery for a small fracture in his thumb that he suffered in the Week 1 win over the division-rival Green Bay Packers, but all signs point to the 27-year-old making his return this weekend in Week 7 at home against the Indianapolis Colts.
While Mason could be eased back into Minnesota's backfield, he is eventually expected to take over lead-back duties from veteran Aaron Jones Sr. Fantasy managers should be checking their league's waiver wire to see if Mason is available following his IR stint.
He had 15 carries for 59 yards and his first touchdown of the 2026 season in Week 1 before he fractured his thumb, although he was not targeted in the passing game. At the very least, Mason should be back in play as an RB3/flex for fantasy managers in Week 7 if he is activated from IR before the deadline on Saturday.
Aaron Jones Sr., Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. has averaged more than 21 carries over his last four games, a workload born out of Jordan Mason's (thumb) absence. Minnesota originally planned to rotate the two, and their Week 1 split reflected that approach: Mason carried 15 times for 59 yards and a touchdown against Green Bay, while Jones rushed 12 times for 40 yards and a score. Jones then logged 23, 17, 20, and 25 attempts from Weeks 2-5, closing that stretch with 113 yards and a touchdown at New Orleans.
Mason practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday ahead of Sunday's game against Indianapolis, with his return from injured reserve still awaiting activation. Jones also revealed this week that he has played through a sprained MCL in his left knee since Week 2.
He recorded 34 receiving yards in both Weeks 3 and 4, giving him a continuing role in the passing game. A restored rotation would leave Jones closer to flex territory in PPR formats after four games as Minnesota's featured back.
Samaje Perine, Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals running back Samaje Perine totaled 14 carries, 68 rushing yards, two catches, 10 receiving yards, and one touchdown in the team's most recent game prior to the bye week.
Now that the Bengals are returning to action in Week 7, he'll look to pick up where he left off with a similar role and volume share. It was surprising to see Perine pull ahead of Chase Brown in terms of workload, and while a similar outcome seems somewhat improbable for Week 7, momentum is certainly on Perine's side. The 31-year-old is averaging more than 4.0 yards per carry this season, and he has historically been a key contributor in the passing game.
Perine doesn't need to have an every-down role to get on the fantasy radar, either. He played 51% of the snaps in Week 5 and was still able to produce 15.8 fantasy points in PPR leagues. He certainly has a lower floor than some of the other players in the RB3/flex range, but he has a chance to solidify himself as a weekly fantasy starter with another productive performance this week.
