Week 6 Fantasy Football Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 6:
Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was poised to heavily exploit the porous secondary of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their Week 5 contest on Thursday Night Football. Instead, he threw two interceptions and managed just one passing touchdown, though his 316 passing yards were adequate. One of the picks wasn't his fault, though -- it was tight end Jake Ferguson who failed to corral a pass that hit him in the hands, and the ricochet flew high in the air and landed in the hands of a Bucs defender.
Prescott's fantasy value is likely to take a hit due to the injury to his elite WR1, CeeDee Lamb (quad), but Prescott still scored over 14.6 PPR fantasy points in the loss. It was his lowest output all season. Even if Lamb misses Week 6, though, the duo of WRs George Pickens and Ryan Flournoy are more than acceptable to keep him out of single-digit scoring territory. Prescott can be treated as a QB2 for his Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers, as it seems Lamb may need time to recover to avoid another re-aggravation of his quad injury.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (hamstring) will be a full participant on Wednesday's injury report, head coach Ben Johnson told Sean Hammond of The Chicago Tribune. Wednesday's practice is a walkthrough, so the injury report will be an estimate. Williams suffered a Grade 2 strain of his right hamstring in the Week 2 loss to the division-rival Minnesota Vikings and has missed the last three games. He returned to practice last Friday, though, and all signs are pointing towards his return this weekend on the road in Atlanta against the Falcons.
Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in 2024 from USC, will give all of the Bears' offensive skill players a boost in fantasy value if he returns this weekend in Atlanta, and he will be back on the QB1 radar as well. He threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns on 29 pass attempts in the season-opening win over the Carolina Panthers before throwing for 138 yards and a pick in the Week 2 loss to the Vikings on a rain-soaked field in Chicago. Fantasy managers should be preparing to get Williams back into their lineups in Week 6.
Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence completed 24 of his 39 pass attempts for 331 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception during Sunday's Week 5 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He also rushed for 23 yards and took two sacks. The 27-year-old has demonstrated lower rushing upside this year compared to last, but he hasn't missed a beat in terms of passing productivity. Through five games, he has 1,174 passing yards and 10 touchdowns, establishing himself as a strong low-end QB1 in fantasy football.
He has also shown off a clutch factor, leading a comeback drive in the waning minutes of Sunday's game in London. While the Eagles did briefly pull back ahead after Lawrence's late touchdown drive, Jacksonville put the nail in the coffin with an improbable kick return and a long field goal. The 4-1 Jaguars operate a pass-heavy offense, and Lawrence should continue to benefit as a result. He should be started in most fantasy leagues ahead of Week 6 against the one-win Houston Texans.
Kirk Cousins, Las Vegas Raiders
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Kirk Cousins did not have his best game in Week 5, throwing for 243 yards and a touchdown in his team's 45-17 blowout loss to the New England Patriots. However, the veteran signal-caller is still off to a solid start to the 2026 season.
Across five games, Cousins has completed 65.1% of his pass attempts for 1,269 yards, 12 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He's thrown for at least 240 passing yards in four consecutive games and tossed multiple touchdown passes in four out of five contests this year. The Raiders also play the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams, and San Francisco 49ers in the next four weeks, which could mean Cousins finds himself in some pass-heavy game scripts. In most league formats, Cousins remains a potential quarterback streamer for fantasy managers to target on the waiver wire.
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Across five games so far in 2026, Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has completed 64.3% of his pass attempts for 1,402 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions. The 25-year-old has flown under the radar because he hasn't delivered many touchdown passes yet.
However, he's quietly thrown for at least 260 yards in four out of five games, and he's averaging 294 yards per game in the three contests where star Texans wideout Nico Collins has been active. Stroud may now be getting another high-end weapon to work with, as Houston acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The Texans have also been one of the least efficient rushing teams in the NFL this season, and RB1 David Montgomery (groin) may miss time with a groin injury. In leagues where he's available, Stroud could be worth targeting on the waiver wire for fantasy managers.
