Casey Wilson's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Wednesday, 5/27/26. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.
What an awesome slate we have on tap tonight. There are plenty of options to choose from on both sides of the ball, with some great options toeing the rubber as well as plenty of stacks that have a ceiling to break the slate. I am trusting my models tonight and paying close attention to ownership projections. Tonight is a perfect slate to zag when everyone else zigs with the amount of options.
If you have not had a chance to check out my model, I will refer to it throughout this article. To get a better sense of where I am, not only on today's slate but on every slate, please give it a look. My plays are solely based on numbers, and this model is the brain behind the operation. I have also created a hitter model that is not public, but I will reference it in this article.
This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/27/2026, with the slate starting at 6:35 p.m. ET on DraftKings and FanDuel. The lineup picks will showcase elite players, mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.
Top MLB DFS Pitcher for DraftKings, FanDuel
Shohei Ohtani, SP - LAD ($10.7K DK/N/A FD)
We have plenty of options on the bump tonight, but none stand out like Shohei Ohtani. The Dodgers phenom continues to improve, and tonight he will pitch at home against the Colorado Rockies.
Ohtani has pitched to a 3.10 xFIP, 28.4% K%, 0.84 WHIP, and a 0.37 HR/9 this season. Over his last two starts, he has a 3.24 xFIP, 26.7% K%, and a 13.5% SwStr%. I have Ohtani with a 27.9% projected K% and 6.62 strikeouts tonight.
The Rockies don't have the strikeout ceiling we once saw last season, but they are still an elite matchup. They have a 22.9% K%, .699 OPS, and an 85 wRC+ against RHP this season. Over the last 14 days, they have struggled mightily to a .569 OPS and a 49 wRC+ against the split. The Rockies have a 2.9 implied run total in my model, making them the lowest on the slate. Ohtani is our SP1 in all formats.
Top MLB DFS Stack for DraftKings, FanDuel
Pittsburgh Pirates (Model-Projected IRT of 5.9 runs) vs. Jameson Taillon
The Pirates stand out as the top dog in both of my models tonight against Jameson Taillon. They will square off at home at PNC Park. The weather will have no impact in this spot, but the park does play a bit pitcher-friendly. For that reason, I hope we get the Pirates as a low-owned sneaky stack on tonight's slate.
I mentioned earlier about trying to zag when everyone else zigs, and I think this is the spot. Taillon is allowing a ton of hard-hit balls in the air at the moment. He has a 3.25 HR/9, 48.9% FB%, and a 39.8% Hard Hit% over the last 30 days. He has allowed over a 1.072 OPS to both sides of the plate over the last two starts, making this an opportunity for a full stack.
The Pirates are a team that has been great this season against RHP. They have a .740 OPS and a 110 wRC+ against the split with a .758 OPS and a 115 wRC+ over the L30 days. They have a 5.9 implied run total in my model, which is the high mark on tonight's slate.
Favorite Targets: Brandon Lowe, Spencer Horwitz, Oneil Cruz, Bryan Reynolds, Jake Mangum
Top MLB DFS Hitter for DraftKings, FanDuel
Spencer Horwitz, 1B - PIT ($3.3K DK/$2.9K FD)
Spencer Horwitz has been leading off for the Pirates against RHP as of late and has been elite. He has a .468 wOBA, .233 ISO, and a 1.090 OPS against RHP over his last 35 ABs. Taillon has allowed a .385 wOBA, .296 ISO, and a .954 OPS against LHH this season, with a 1.464 OPS over the last 25 batters he's faced. Horwitz is one of my top plays on the slate.
