MacKenzie Gore looks incredible tonight. He is in one of the best spots I have seen so far this season. He will toe the rubber at Sutter Health Park tonight against the Athletics. This is a great park for hitting, and that is about the only negative I have in this matchup.
Gore is off to a tremendous start with his new team. He has a 2.06 xFIP, 39.7% K%, 12.3% SwStr%, and a 0.86 WHIP. The Athletics have struggled mightily against southpaws this season and are down arguably their best bat against the split in Brent Rooker. In 2026, the Athletics have a 28.5% K%, .555 OPS, and a 55 wRC+ against LHP.

I love this game to hit the over tonight, and I really like the idea of a game stack in this spot. The Astros will face Michael Lorenzen at Daikin Park tonight.
Lorenzen has struggled this season with a 4.43 xFIP, 2.14 WHIP, 1.93 HR/9, and a 37.9% Hard Hit%. The Astros are destroying RHP this season. They have a .835 OPS and a 143 wRC+ against the split.
Lorenzen has shown reverse splits his entire career. In 2025, he allowed a .345 wOBA, .484 SLG, and 14 HRs against RHH. The Astros are a very right-handed-heavy lineup, which lines up very well tonight against the splits of Lorenzen.

He is slashing .303/.378/.576 with a .954 OPS and a 24.0% Brl%. Reynaldo Lopez has allowed a .452 SLG, .290 ISO, and a 17.4% Brl% to RHH in 2026. Otto Lopez will be low-rostered and is a fantastic tournament play tonight.
